Since starting Trackside FocusĀ®, Iāve been incredibly lucky to be surrounded by supportive, kind and understanding customers - many of whom I now consider friends, and thatās something I truly value.
Yesterday, I experienced my first situation with an understandably frustrated customer following the cancellation of a workshop. I completely appreciate how disappointing this can be. However, the reaction has unfortunately gone beyond frustration, with attempts to harm and damage the business.
Unfortunately, when bookings are too low, running a workshop can result in significant losses - sometimes over Ā£1,000, which simply isnāt sustainable for a small, family-run business that doesnāt currently turn a profit and exists purely as a passion project. The business would likely be forced out of business in that situation.
These decisions are never taken lightly. I always aim to make them as early as possible to minimise disruption and give everyone as much notice as I can. Given the current climate, there is unfortunately the potential for further cancellations, and I kindly ask that anyone affected responds with understanding rather than angry actions that could harm the business. I always offer a full refund or the option to switch to another workshop, often with a discount. Those who know me will know I always strive to be as understanding, kind and accommodating as possible. Unfortunately, I cannot control hotel bookings, travel bookings or anything outside of Trackside FocusĀ®. All I can do is sincerely apologise and fully refund the workshop cost - which I always offer to do.
I truly appreciate the continued kindness, patience and support from those of you who understand the realities and struggles of running Trackside FocusĀ® - especially during what is shaping up to be another challenging period. It genuinely means a lot.
Have a great week everyone.
