Following on from yesterday's announcement, the following THREE workshops will still go ahead:

1. British GT at Silverstone - 1 place remaining (April 2025).
2. Gold Cup at Oulton Park - SOLD OUT (July 2025).
3. 24H Barcelona - SOLD OUT (September 2025).

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

It is with a heavy heart that today I am announcing that Trackside Focus® will be coming to an end. Unfortunately, due to the lack of demand and interest, combined with the ongoing economic challenges, I am no longer able to keep the business running.

When I started this journey, I was passionate about building something special. I put everything I could into getting Trackside Focus® off the ground, hoping it would grow into a sustainable and long term business for me and my family. However, despite my best efforts, the interest and demand simply isn’t there to make it a viable and profitable business for the long term.

This decision has not been an easy one, but sometimes things don’t work out as we hope, especially in business. I am incredibly grateful for those who have supported me along the way. Whether you followed and engaged with the business, attended a workshop, connected through social media, entered the Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards or simply shared words of encouragement, your support means the world to me.

Over the course of building and running the business, it’s taken a significant toll on my family and our family life. It’s become clear that I now need to prioritise them and their future. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but it's time to step back and focus on what matters most.

Please note, that some workshops will still go ahead as planned, and I will be in touch with further details on those shortly. For any workshops that don’t proceed, I will personally reach out to sort out refunds as quickly as possible.

The business will not end immediately, it will be a slow and steady wind down over the course of the next few months. However, there will be some changes during this time as you might expect.

Though Trackside Focus® is coming to an end, I will always appreciate the connections made and the experiences gained throughout this journey.

Thank you once again for being a part of this journey and for your understanding as I have come to terms with this decision over the last couple of months.

"I know how to take motorsport photos - I don't need to attend a workshop"

Trackside Focus workshops are about so much more than just learning to take good photos or even improving on your existing photography.

So, now you know how to take good photos, how about the answers to these crucial questions?

1). Do you understand the track layout & dynamics (and from the media side of the fence, because it's often very different)?
2). Do you know the braking zones and will I capture glowing brake discs there? How about the main overtaking zones & the corners with low grip? Is there a gravel trap there too?
3). Do you know how to follow team strategy, so you know where to be and when?
4). Do you know the sunrise spots? And the sunset spots too and why?
5). How long does it take to get there from the media centre? What about from turn 1?
6). Do you understand the types of images a team is looking for & why?
7). Red Zones?! Huh?
8). How do I plan for 24+ hours shooting at the track?
9). What lenses should I use in the pit lane & why?
10). Is a concrete wall or Armco barrier safer to stand behind?

This list could go on! If you're struggling to answer these questions, then you should consider attending a Trackside Focus workshop. The education and learning our photographers offer you is simply invaluable. These are all aspects that get covered plus much, much more!
