I’ve never known the mountains to be so dry in Wales, and they have endured wild fires and some overcrowding in places .. and with some shocking littering in beautiful places , like the Insta-famous Watkin pools, where we picked up a 20L bag of rubbish from just one spot on the bank…

Sun and rain … Intro leading course for and working with new trainees on the rock 2 course.

People often ask what happens if they’ve booked guided climbing or instruction and the weather is wet. Often there’s a dry spot somewhere , as the mountains and coast provide little micro climates, but sometimes you just have to carry on regardless 😂

Luckily this week the sun was out when if mattered…phew !

An excellent few days working on the alpine preparation courses ..in appropriately Alpine weather 🙂

After the tragic death of Jonathan Conville in the Alps in 1979 the trust was set up to subsidise the learning of essential skills for young aspiring mountaineers. Since then thousands of people have benefitted from this amazing scheme, and it’s a pleasure and privilege to share days out in the hills with such keen beans 😃
