Liz, Mat and I had a good day’s climbing yesterday in the La Grave area. In the morning we climbed the multi pitch route, Arête de la Cascade before having a pleasant afternoon’s cragging at Les Balmes.

Yesterday, Martyn, Michelle, John and I traversed the Aonach Eagach on a Falkirk Outdoors scrambling day. We were in cloud/mizzle for much of the ridge, but it cleared as we descended.

The last three days I've been course directing a Hill and Moorland Leader Assessment for Falkirk Outdoors . We visited the Pentland Hills and a couple of areas in the Ochils.

An enjoyable three days. It's always good when candidates are well prepared.

With the weather forecast poor in the Ecrins massif this morning and winds forecast to be 92 kmph at 12.00, Kim, Ben and I made an early start today for the Massif des Cerces.

Here we climbed the excellent Via Ferrata which leads to the top of the Aiguillette du Lauzet.
