I didn’t start a travel business because I had loads of spare time.
Quite the opposite! I work full time, I’m a mum to two busy 16 year olds, I’m studying for an HR apprenticeship and then I decided to add building a travel business into the mix too!
Eight months later, I’ve booked 40+ trips for clients.
And honestly, one of the things I hear most is:
“I’d love to do something like that, but I just don’t have the time.”
I completely get it.
I didn’t suddenly find an extra 10 hours a week. I started using the little pockets of time I already had. An evening here. A weekend hour there. A message while I’m waiting for the boys. Little bits that, over time, started to add up.
I also started because I can see redundancy coming down the line, and I wanted to create another option for myself before I actually needed one.
Now I have something that’s mine. Something I genuinely love. Something I can continue building around my life rather than having to put my life on hold to build it.
So if you’ve ever caught yourself thinking…
“Maybe I should have something of my own too?”
