We found Kingdon Gardens in 2006 and instantly knew that it was a place that would make a fantastic holiday destination. Only 2 miles from Barnstaple town centre, in a secluded valley with picturesque views and within easy reach of the popular surfing beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe we loved it from the moment we saw it. Over the last 16 years we have started extensive redevelopment work

to return this derelict market gardens to its former glory. There is still a lot of work to do, but with produce now growing in the walled centre garden and fruit on the tree's in the orchard. I am sure you will enjoy the beauty and tranquillity as much as we do!

Since the moment we walked into this garden almost 20 years ago, I’ve always believed it was magical. It’s always had that Secret Garden/Faraway Tree kind of vibe. ✨🌿

So today I wasn’t overly surprised when I finally spotted a fairy in the stream, busy weeding away! 🧚‍♀️😆

Now, if a few hundred more fairies could turn up and lend a hand, we might actually get a rest! 😉
