Woodland Cottages Very dog friendly self-catering holiday accommodation in North Devon In 1994 the 8 acre woodland to the north of the property was planted.

Woodland Cottages form part of West Woodlands - a 17th Century farmstead that was a working farm until the early 1970s. It was then that the listed farmhouse was modernised although the long run of barns set in the surrounding 24 acres remained largely untouched. In 2004 the listed stone and cob barns were sympathetically converted to form three high quality cottages facing away from the farmhouse all with outstanding rural views towards Exmoor.

Wanting to cool down in this heat? 🌞We've had a couple of cancellations over the summer holidays so if anyone fancies a last minute getaway with the dogs the week commencing the 26th July is available in Badger cottage (sleeps 5) and the 2nd August in Swallow cottage (sleeps 6). We still have availability in Swallow cottage for the week commencing the 2nd August. Swallow cottage sleeps up to 6 and is perfect if you are looking to get away with the family and the dogs this year. North Devon has some fantastic beaches and there are plenty of attractions and outdoor pursuits available locally to keep the whole family happy this summer. It's not too late to book now.

Swallow cottage has become available for the week commencing the 2nd August, if anyone is still looking for a summer break? Swallow cottage is our largest cottage and sleeps 6. So perfect for a family getaway with the dogs. We are ideally located close to North Devon's beautifully long sandy beaches and with the Tarka Trail cycling path nearby there are plenty of activities that the whole family can enjoy.

Yay! RHS Rosemoor which is just a 10min drive from Woodland Cottages are trialling allowing dogs in the gardens on certain days. Now you will be able to enjoy the gardens with your dogs :)

🎗️REMINDER: Today's the start of our 6 month 'Paws on Paths' trial allowing dogs into our gardens on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays remain dog free. Read more about this pilot here:

Who else has been enjoying the spring sunshine over the last couple of days? We've been reminded again of just how lucky we are to live here. Big, beautiful beaches - perfect for kids and dogs. Stunning coastal walks. Rolling Devon hills but importantly flat cycle paths!
There is just something about being in the countryside or near water that is just so relaxing and refreshing for the soul. So come and get your dose of Devon.

Woodland Cottages is now a family run holiday cottage business offering very dog friendly accommodation in North Devon. We accept and number of dogs of any size, shape and breed. Each of the cottages have an enclosed courtyard overlooking stunning views over North Devon and Exmoor National Park. There is an enclosed paddock outside the cottages and private 8 acre woodland is the perfect place for your dogs to stretch their legs and meet other dogs. Woodland cottages are located a short drive from some of North Devon's beautifully long, sandy and dog friendly beaches.
