Another brilliant Barrow’s Barrows weekend in the village. Our offering was Vincent Van Gogh, complete with ear bandage! 🌻
Fantastic to see some very creative wheelbarrows and the rain stayed (mostly) away!

A stunning moon halo over Papist last night

This afternoon we took a walk down from Papist Hall to Barrow Blow Wells, a nature reserve at the edge of the village. The blow wells are natural springs (underwater the white sand is bubbling away in the centre of the pools) and during this chilly weather the water steams as it comes out of the ground! We followed the spring water to the Humber before taking in a well earned drink at Barrow Haven Inn

We were so fortunate to be able to get our hands on these amazing Bah Humber Christmas cards made by the very talented the humber printmaker 🎄☺️ They make up part of our welcome pack for guests visiting us over the festive period. And the pictures don’t do the shimmering gold and silver justice!

The most wonderful time of the year! 🎄 We had lots of fun creating these lovely wreaths to decorate the front doors of the Hall. It certainly got us in the festive spirit!

We are absolutely thrilled to be able to stock some amazing willow sculptures for our guests to purchase. They have been lovingly created by the very talented Woven by Sarah and we think they look right at home in the garden!

Papist Hall is a great base for exploring the Lincolnshire Wolds by bike. Undulating hills, quiet rural roads and stunning views are waiting to be explored. We can offer secure storage for cycles and superb accommodation for their riders!

Our wheelbarrow won the People’s Choice prize at this year’s Barrow Barrows! 🏆 We are thrilled considering the high standard and incredible variety of wheelbarrows on display this year.

Many thanks to Better Barrow for organising such a fantastic weekend. It has been brilliant seeing the village full of people enjoying the gardens and barrows, live music, good food and local displays. And the sun even made a very welcome appearance today! 🌞

Not sure how many displays Papist Hall
has witnessed of the northern lights in its 350+ years but this must surely be amongst the most spectacular!
