Lesson prices

Hi everyone I am really sorry but due to the increase in fuel prices I have no choice but to increase lesson prices unfortunately. I have done my upmost to be fair and I hope you all understand so from 28th March 2022 they will be as follows

1 hour - Ā£30

1 Ā½ hour -Ā£ 45

2 hours - Ā£ 55

10 hour block - Ā£275

Hi everyone as you are all aware I havenā€™t increased my prices since January 2019 and I didnā€™t feel it was appropriate to increase prices last year or at the start of this year due to the pandemic but due to an increase in fuel unfortunately I do need to increase prices now from November 2021

The new prices will be as follows

One hour - Ā£28
One and half hours - Ā£40
Two hours - Ā£50

Prepaid block booking hours

5 hours - Ā£135

10 hours - Ā£250

Here is the updated information from DVSA with regards the changes from next week

I would like to add that I appreciate that wearing a mask is uncomfortable in the hot weather but I will still be asking that you wear one in the car please for your lesson. I am requesting this as many of you are aware I have extremely vulnerable members of my family and I have some pupils who are in the same situation as me so I would like to do the best I can to keep my family and yourselves safe and well.

I would also like to remind you to please text me beforehand if you feel unwell or feel out of sorts so we can decide whether it would be best to reschedule your lesson

Hi

I just wanted to update you I have been trying to get some clarification on the private driving practice rule that the DVSA issued at the start of the lockdown unfortunately the only answers I keep getting from DVSA is ā€œ we are working with government to obtain further information on all aspects of driving practice, lessons and tests and will be in touch in due courseā€ so I am no further on I am sorry
I think looking at the covid road map things change on the 29 th March as it shows the stay at home rule has been lifted so I feel until then I would be extremely cautious about private practice unless itā€™s an essential journey as stated in the rules as obviously if anything was to happen it could have a knock on effect on your insurance

I am so sorry to not be giving you more positive news but I just want to keep you upto speed with as much as I know and give you some reassurance that I am trying to get answers on things for you

Hi

Just an update It looks like we maybe able to return from the week of the 12th April but at the moment that isnā€™t confirmed by the DVSA and is subject to change so therefore I am asking people to air on the side of caution due to the following factors
DVSA havent confirmed it yet that we can return from that date ( I donā€™t know when they will give us an update unfortunately) but also we donā€™t know if they are going to impose a training period for pupils first so they can get test ready so therefore delay the start of tests during that period which has the knock on effect for me trying plan what tests I am going to have and when and the book the lessons in for those tests

As soon as I know more I will let you know ASAP all I would ask if you can remain patient and as soon as I know anything more I will let you know

Obviously once I have definite information my first point of call is to get the pupils with immediate tests booked in for lessons first as many of them havenā€™t had access or even been able to drive through the lockdown due to restrictions on driving practice but I will be doing the best I can to get everyone in as quickly as I physically can

Hi all just an update for you DVSA have issued this statement just incase you havenā€™t seen it, and also they are saying there are NO exemptions for lessons or tests for key workers as it stands at present

If I get any more information I will let you know

This is a message to all my current pupils and pupils awaiting their first driving lesson

Unfortunately due to the announcement from Boris of a lock down We have to suspend all driving lessons until the government feel it is safe for us to go about our daily lives without the threat of contracting the Corona Virus.

The DVSA (test centres) have suspended all theory tests and practical tests

If you have any questions / queries please do give me a call or text.

I will contact you all in the near future & look forward to seeing you all again once the country is back up & running.
