PQA is a weekend performing arts academy providing tuition for children and young people from 4-18 years. Students spend three hours with us, rotating through hour-long sessions in comedy & drama, musical theatre and film & television. Students are split into groups according to their age and are taught by specialist teachers. By working with people we believe are outstanding in their field, we ai

m to provide our students with a constantly evolving experience – something that is fresh, exciting and bang up-to-date. We want to instil the benefits of the performing arts into a new generation of young people, helping them to realise their potential, grow as individuals and become the people they want to be as they learn skills valuable for everyday life, not just the performing arts. And if our students have the ambition, we want to teach them the skills and give them the support to make it happen. Above all, we encourage our students to be amazing, just by being themselves. What a truly magical setting for a Christmas performance — and an incredible opportunity for our young performers.

✨We are growing our team! ️PQA Bath are hiring a number of Cover Roles.✨️

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of performers?

Do you have experience and an interest in performing arts?

Then PQA want to hear from you!

PQA Bath, a leading provider of weekend performing arts tuition, is currently recruiting:

- Cover Academy Assistants

(Initially offered as a Cover Assistant position, there is potential for this to develop into a permanent role for the right person.).

- Cover Teachers

We operate on Saturdays during term time, 09:45 - 13:00. Cover dates available now for the new term!

You will need a knowledge of Performing Arts and a passion for working with children and young people aged 4 - 18 years old, to help run our classes and support our academy productions.

We're looking for individuals who are reliable, committed, flexible, passionate about arts education, have experience in child care and performing arts and those who are team players, full of fun. If this is you, we want to hear from you!

PQA follows safer recruiting. An enhanced DBS on the update service will be required and can be arranged. Applicants must be 18+.

Applicants must be within commutable distance to PQA Bath.

To apply, please send a Cover Letter detailing your suitability for the role and your CV to [email protected].

The deadline for applications is 5pm on 1st September 2026. Due to the high volume of applications, we may close the application process early. If interested in the role, please get your application in as soon as possible.

✨ WHAT. A. TERM. ✨

As my first term as Principal of PQA Bath comes to a close, I've been reflecting on just how much we've packed into a few short weeks...

🎭 We took to His Majesty's Theatre in London's West End and delivered an unforgettable performance of Across the Line.

🎉 We lit up Bath Carnival with energy, attitude and incredible performances.

🌟 Our Poppets proudly performed their end-of-term showing of work for family and friends, taking to the stage with confidence, creativity and huge smiles.

💜💚💙❤️ We welcomed new faces to our PQA family, celebrated friendships old and new, and watched confidence grow week after week.

Most importantly, we've started building something really special together.

To every student, parent, carer and member of our brilliant team—thank you for making me feel so welcome. It's been an absolute privilege getting to know you all, and I couldn't be more excited about what's ahead.

September is going to be BIG. 🎉

New opportunities. New projects. New performances. And plenty more moments to shine! ✨️

Have the most amazing summer, make wonderful memories, and we'll see you next term, ready to do it all again. ☀️

✨️ Last Sunday, Principal Lydia attended the annual PQA Conference! ✨️

It's always an inspiring event and brilliant to get together with our wider PQA community to celebrate our achievements and learn about all the exciting opportunities that are on the horizon for our amazing students.

We have a very exciting year ahead of us at PQA Weston-super-Mare and PQA Bath! Watch this space... 🤩

🎉✨️ Our amazing students brought the party to Bath Carnival ✨️🎉

Yesterday, our brilliant students danced and moonwalked their way round the streets of Bath and they absolutely smashed it!

Fierce performances. Huge energy. Incredible teamwork. Every single performer gave it everything, and we couldn't be prouder. 🤩

Congratulations PQA Bath on one Thriller performance!🕴😉🔥
