The sun is out as we prepare for Easter, so now is a great time to call in to the Gallery at Beaminster's Yarn Barton Centre to view the latest stunniing exhibition. As these images show the Exhibit features some delightfull local country and coastal scenes plus some exqusite stained glass work. Definitely not to be missed.

8th May will be the 80th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day. A day that, for our parents and grandparents, combined celebration, relief and thanksgiving.

The fantastic Treescapes exhibition featuring Textile wall hangings and pictures by Elizabeth Sayers & pictures by Brian C***s, together with small woodwork craft by Barry Frampton is now up and running so do pop in to the Yarn Barton Centre in Fleet Street 09:30 to 12:30 Monday to Saturday to enjoy one of our best displays of local art ever. The Exhibition runs until 31st March.

The Yarn Barton Centre is looking for a volunteer bookkeeper/treasurer to join an enthusiastic team offering great support and committed to helping Beaminster residents and visitors.

Christmas is fast approaching and the Beaminster festive lights will be switched on on 29th November. To celebrate all are invited to the Yarn Barton Centre in Fleet Street for Mince Pies and Mulled Wine. 5.30 to 7.30 pm on 29th November. See you there.

Now available from the Yarn Barton Centre are delightful Christmas cards and prints featuring many of the historic buildings in Beaminster.
Both have been produced by Jacky Curtis in aid of the Charity linked to the Fortuneswell ward at Dorset County Hospital.
The charity works to improve chemo services for the people of West Dorset and including funding an outreach chemo at Bridport hospital so people from Beaminster and surrounding areas do not have to travel so far.
Jacky is donating the cost of producing the cards and prints so all the money from the sales will go to the Fortuneswell Charity. They have no paid staff as it is run by trustees and volunteers so every penny improves the service.
