A relaxing hide-away for two, the Dove Cote and Summer House offer a blend of comfort, tradition and style. In times gone by, these Grade II listed cottages were used by the resident flock of Doves and Gardener. These days they sleep two people in modern and contemporary comfort, and have a cleverly-designed layout with everything that two people could want for a short-break holiday.

🌿 A Gentle Visitor in the Orchard 🌿

Look who wandered in for breakfast this morning! 🦌 This young deer was happily grazing in our orchard, completely unbothered by the world around it — and seemingly unaware of the audience watching from the kitchen window!

One of the best things about staying here in the countryside is sharing the space with our wild neighbours. From curious deer like this one, to rabbits, pheasants, hare and the occasional owl hooting at night, there’s always something magical to spot if you take a quiet moment outdoors.

So if you love a peaceful getaway with a touch of the wild, our little corner of the North Yorkshire countryside might just steal your heart 💚

Celebrate Fountains by Floodlight with an after-dark adventure through the estate from your car...

For those who can't explore Fountains by Floodlight on foot, we're holding a drive through event on Sunday 27 October, from 6pm-8pm. The drive through starts from the Studley Ticket Office, taking you through the estate to finish at the West Gate entrance. If you wind down your windows, you might be able to hear music playing from the Abbey whilst you drive past.

This event is drive through only so you won't be able to leave your car whilst driving through the estate. The water garden won't be lit. You can drive through as many times as you'd like.
