A New Year is just around the corner and in Travel that means just one thing: "Peaks" (peak booking month) is a few weeks away.

January is traditionally the month when most people book their holidays - but as soon as holidays are sold, the prices increase.

What may have looked a good price at the beginning of January, may not look as good in the middle of January or the following month.

Sales are currently on as December is a traditionally quiet month, but it's also a great time to bag a bargain - with low deposits available, it's a great time to book to "beat the rush"

What's the fastest growing sector in Travel at the moment - everybody wants to Cruise 😎

If it's for you, I deal with all the major Cruise Lines from VFM Cruises to proper Luxury Cruise Lines - below are a selection of Cruise Lines I can book, but that's not all of them (you get the idea!)

We have excellent relationships with all the major Cruise Lines and we got ad-hoc promotions and discounts that you don't see via Direct channels.

If you are new to Cruise, and even if you are seasoned "Cruiser" I can talk you through the idiosyncrasies of booking i.e types of cabin and location, drinks packages, added extra and all the other little things that you need to think about.

If you are not sure it's for you, you can do 2/3 night "taster cruises" that won't break the bank!

Well that's Summer done and dusted, the nights are drawing in, so we all must be thinking about our holiday(s) next year?

People ask me where are the best deals - it's tricky as a deal to one might not be a deal for another - the best way of looking at it is what's the best VFM.

Short Haul it has to be Greece and at the moment Jet2 Holidays are offering a £100 discount so a good time to look for next Summer with low deposits of £60pp.

easyJet are currently doing a promotion on Winter Sun, so if you are looking to get away this winter, there are deals to be had, again with low deposits of £60pp.

I know I keep banging on about the Maldives, but imho, this is where the best value lies (it's all relative to price!) For Summer next year, it's not that much more expensive than Short Haul to the Med - in Summer Holidays, you can pick up a 5* All Inclusive for £6k for 2 people for 10nts 😲

Easter is High Season in the Maldives but again you can pick up quality 5* All Inclusive for less than £8k for 2 people for 10nts and lower for Jan to Apr - again with low deposits of £100pp.

The fancy Villa below can be had for less £8k at Easter 😁

Don't forget most people wait until Jan to book - the prices only rise, the minute people start booking - steal a march and secure your Holiday before Jan "Peaks" booking season 🤔

It's time for another Hotel visit (aka Busman's Holiday) so between Tues 12th Aug and Mon 25th Aug, I'll be in the Maldives.

Spotlight on Sri Lanka!

Sometimes we are working on something and you see something that you just think is incredible value. Although Sri Lanka has some great beach hotels, there are plenty of things to do and see, but sometimes it's either the choice of picking a very structured Private Tour (which in themselves are incredibly good value) or trying to tailor make something where the transfers are a bit of a "ball ache" and expensive.

How about having your own Private Car and Driver who picks you up at Colombo and returns you at the end of your stay - in between they are at your beck and call and will take you anywhere you want to go, no limit on time or mileage. Everything is relative, but the price is incredibly good value - £120 a day "all in".

So you can tell us where you want to go, we'll match with Hotels that suit and away you go. Maybe traverse Sri Lanka to the East Coast and sample the magnificent hotels and beaches, a place that is relatively untouched as the 6hr road transfer normally puts people off! Stop in Kandy/Dambulla on the way out/way back, include the South and or West Coast, the choice is really yours!

Fantastic hotels like the Sun Siyam Pasikudah on the East Coast with their 118sqm Villas for £200 a night (currently with a free Half Board upgrade) and/or the magnificent Shangri-La Hambantota on the South Coast for £220 a night (again currently with a free Half Board upgrade)

With other hotels averaging around the £100 a night mark outside of the Coasts and cheaper Coast options, you can make it as cheap or more expensive as you like.

Sample flights are £800-£1,000 per seat (date dependent!) 10 nights start from £1,500 based on an average of £150 per night plus your driver for £1,200 and that's £4.5k for 2 for a 10nt holiday with your own driver to see multiple destinations.

Pricing is subject to Hotels chosen and price of flights on any given date!
