Introducing the All Solid Blue Flame Maple Waterfall Tenor & Baritone.

The Waterfall Series has been a real hit for us and its always nice seeig peoples reaction when they pick one up for the first time, just as i witnessed the other week at both ukulele festivals that we attended in August.

This series truly has a personality of its own, and that starts with its signature fully rounded body design.

With no sharp edges where the front, back and sides meet, the entire instrument is beautifully contoured, making it incredibly comfortable against the player’s arm and body.

🎉 WELCOME TO THE KALA FAMILY, Ukulele Saz ! 🎉

OK… this may be the worst-kept secret of the year, but we’re incredibly excited to OFFICIALLY announce and welcome Ukulele Saz to the Kala Artist family! ❤️

From the very first conversations, it was clear that we shared the same beliefs, philosophies and ethos when it comes to the importance of grassroots players, ukulele groups, teachers and the wider community.

For us, the ukulele has always been about far more than just the instrument itself. It’s about the people, the friendships, the confidence it builds and the communities that grow around it.

And it’s fair to say that Sarah can be incredibly proud of what she has built throughout her career to date.

Saz runs her own ukulele school and leads not one, but TWO thriving community groups, The Southside Strummers and Rainbow Ukes.

She works with players from 4 to 80+, helping people of all ages and abilities build confidence, make friends and, most importantly, have fun making music.
Because let’s face it… THAT’S WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT, RIGHT?

From teaching, to performing solo, with her band Katabatic Bloom, and alongside her community groups, Saz has made it her mission to inspire people to pick up an instrument and discover what they’re capable of.

And honestly? That’s what we found infectious.

A partnership like this seemed inevitable at some point. When you find someone who shares the same passion, values and belief in what the ukulele can do for people, it just makes sense.

We’re absolutely delighted to have Saz representing Kala, and we genuinely can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes her.

2025 was a great year for the Soprano Ukulele. In fact, I’ll even go on record and say it was something of a comeback year for what was once the preferred size of Ukulele for the general player.

And, if I’m being completely honest, I think we can take a fair amount of the credit for that, with the popularity of our limited-edition Pan Pacific Series being at the centre of al the fuss, and rightly so!

When we introduced the first incarnation of the Pan Pacific Series, we knew we had something special. Hand-selected Koa, chosen by the boss man himself, Mike Upton, and once those wood sets were gone, that was it. One and done.

What we perhaps underestimated was just how quickly they would disappear!

And while we were delighted to see how well they were received, there was also a little bit of a kickback from the general public, particularly from those who discovered the Pan Pacific Series just a little bit too late.

Quite simply, people wanted more. So, we went back to the drawing board.

We wanted to retain everything that made the Pan Pacific so appealing from the launch: that unmistakable Figure of 8 shape, the proper vintage vibes, that unique Arm Wrestling stamp Logo on the headstock, and the same deluxe padded bag. But what was important to us was to bring the new version to market using a more sustainable and readily available wood set.

And then came the obvious question: Why not do it in an All Solid Mahogany?

If there is one wood that feels almost intrinsically connected to the traditional Ukulele, it’s Mahogany. It has the warmth, familiarity and musical character that has made it a firm favourite for generations.

So perhaps, when you think about it, this is actually the version the Pan Pacific should have been made from all along.

⚡ INTRODUCING THE REVELATOR ELECTRIC OWL SERIES ⚡

They’re here. They’re ready. And they’re about to make some noise.

We officially launched the new Kala Revelator Electric Owl Series at the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain last weekend, and the response was absolutely incredible!!!!!

Almost every Electric Owl we had with us sold through on the day at the launch party!

There are now only a limited number of models available through selected Kala Stockists, so keep your eyes peeled over the coming days as they start hitting their websites.

And if you miss out this time, don’t worry — the next shipment is already on its way, with more Electric Owls expected to arrive with us in approximately 8 weeks.

☮️❤️ What a weekend... ☮️❤️

Shrewkfest - 2026 has been one of the most memorable festivals we've ever had the privilege of being a part of and we've compiled a short video marking some of our highlights, enjoy!

A huge thank you to Dave Cowton and his incredible team who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create such a welcoming, friendly and unique event. So much hard work goes into making a festival like this happen, and it certainly doesn't go unnoticed.

To our amazing Kala Artists... you absolutely smashed it! Your performances, workshops and passion for music were nothing short of inspiring. We couldn't be prouder to have you representing the Kala family.

And finally, to every single one of our customers, friends and fellow ukulele enthusiasts who stopped by the Kala stand over the weekend THANK YOU. Whether you came to try an instrument, shared a story, or simply stopped for a chat, your support genuinely means the world to us. It's because of people like you that we get to do what we do.

Huge congratulations to Sheila Cowton for buying the winning raffle ticket for this year's grand prize at Shrewkfest - The Shrewsbury Ukulele Festival

Sheila went home with a brand new KA-KOA-C, and together we raised over £900 to help cover the costs of running this fantastic festival.

A massive thank you to Dave Cowton and the entire crew for putting on yet another incredible event. Shrewkfest just keeps getting bigger and better, and we can't wait to be back again next year!
