She loved to make things too and grew lots of other things. Although I didn’t know her as well as I would have liked, stories about her have spurred me on. I started making things for our children but it wasn’t long before I was making things for adults too. I now have a range of bags, cushions, journals, aprons and bunting. I make everything by hand, to my own designs, and use specially sourced fabrics. I supply a few shops and the National Trust, which is very exciting.

So despite the weather we managed to get a great day in Ballycastle - always a favourite. Walk along the beach, drinks in the Harbour Bar, rude boys, tired pupster and of course chips from Morton’s. You couldn’t beat it with a big stick.
