⚓ Always learning… so I can help you travel better! ✈️🌍

After a hectic few weeks — including being away on holiday myself — I was straight back home and into a few travel training evenings!

The first was a little different, as it took place in the Billy Bingham Suite at Windsor Park, our national football stadium here in Belfast. Having never visited Windsor Park before, I was intrigued to see what it was like — and we were treated to a lovely meal too!

The evening was a Cruise Challenge, giving us the opportunity to learn more about four very different styles of cruising, including Virgin Voyages, Marella Cruises, Antarctica21 and Havila Voyages. 🚢

I found them all fascinating, but I have to admit that Havila Voyages really caught my attention. Their Norwegian coastal voyages travel from Bergen all the way north to Kirkenes, calling at lots of smaller ports and communities along that spectacular coastline. 🇳🇴

The ships, scenery and overall concept looked fantastic. With seeing the Northern Lights in Norway firmly on my bucket list, this is definitely an experience I’d love to enjoy for myself someday! ✨💚

There was plenty of fun throughout the evening too. We were split into three teams for games and challenges, with some brilliant prizes and incentives up for grabs. One very lucky travel agent even won a Havila cruise! Now that’s a prize I wouldn’t have minded winning! 😂🚢

Of course, evenings like this aren’t just about the fun and prizes. They’re also a really important part of what I do.

The more I learn about destinations, cruise lines, ships and different styles of travel, the more knowledge I can pass on to you, my clients. That helps me find the holiday or cruise that’s right for you, rather than simply picking something from a screen.

There really is a cruise for almost everyone — you just need to find the right one. ❤️

☀️🌴 IBIZA… YOU ROCK! 💙 🌴☀️

After all these years, we finally made it to Ibiza for the very first time — and what a fabulous time we had!

We’re definitely not the all-night party-goers 😂, but we still love good food, beautiful places, a bit of atmosphere and, of course, a little adventure!

🌸 We visited the famous Hippy Market, celebrating over 50 years — absolutely packed with colorful stalls, people and atmosphere. It was one of our hottest days too, but that didn’t stop us having a good browse and coming home with a couple of lovely purchases!

⛴️ One of our favorite days was taking the little ferry/water taxi along the coast to Ibiza Town, stopping at different resorts and ports along the way. Ibiza Old Town was just beautiful — very quaint, full of character, gorgeous little streets and so much history. We even tackled the climb right to the top of Dalt Vila… definitely earned our lovely meal in the Old Town that evening! 😂

⛈️ We also had a bit of excitement when emergency weather alerts suddenly appeared on our phones warning of a storm! Thankfully it wasn’t quite as dramatic as expected. We had some very heavy rain, but by later that afternoon it had cleared — and after that the weather was absolutely glorious, with temperatures back into the early 30s. ☀️

We walked along the beautiful coastline, enjoyed plenty of relaxing time and had a fantastic Thai meal at Bambuddha — absolutely delicious. 😋

And being on the east side of the island, it wasn’t the famous Ibiza sunsets we were waking up to — it was the most fabulous sunrises. 🌅 Watching the sun come up over the Mediterranean was absolutely beautiful and definitely one of the highlights of our holiday.

Ibiza really surprised us. ❤️ It’s so much more than nightclubs and partying — beautiful coastline, quaint towns, great food, fabulous sunrises and plenty to explore.

First visit to Ibiza… but definitely not our last.
