The dining room at Gardener’s Cottage is the perfect spot for family gatherings. Surrounded by a gorgeous woodland mural bringing the Twizell Arboretum inside. An original chandelier from Twizell house floods the table with light. An old picture of the original Twizell House hangs over the fireplace which has a renovated ornate wooden fire surround. A wonderful room.

RSNE has welcomed welcomed its first gold corporate member, Twizell Estate!

We are thrilled Twizell Estate will be supporting red squirrel conservation in Northern England. Twizell Estate covers 500 acres of land and already has a rich history relating to wildlife; previously belonging to celebrated botanist and ornithologist Prideaux John Selby. The Estate is home to our iconic red squirrel, and in addition to supporting RSNE's vital conservation work, it's owners are also looking into setting up a local red squirrel conservation group where local military veterans and young people will be invited to take part in monitoring and other conservation activities.

Northumberland is full of beautiful views but this has to be up there with one of the best. Holy Island is such a wonderful place to spend a day, with stunning views around each corner. Long distance views of Bamburgh Castle, The Priory, St Mary’s Church and the Castle, Lindisfarne has it all.

Finished off with a delicious coffee and icecream from . Make sure Holy Island is on your list when you visit Northumberland.
