Finally I managed to look round Swtan in Church Bay. Swtan is the last thatched cottage on Anglesey and is now open as a small heritage museum. It was re-erected in 1998 after it had become nothing more but a pile of stones and one chimney and is now furnished to represent a typical cottage interior at around 1900. I loved it and could quite happily live in it now, although maybe not when it’s cold in winter 😆.

We entered a local horticultural show last weekend for fun and to support the show. Our exhibits weren’t up to much but the organisers were so pleased we took part and, you’ll never guess, we won first in the single rose class! We came second with our cucumber and sweet peas but there were only two entries in those classes!!! 😆😆😆
