Part of our aim with Lake House Holidays is to create a safe and peaceful retreat for both humans, flowers and animals. Today we were surveyed and it turns out we have a major population of water voles, one of the rarest mammals in the UK. Watch this space to see what else we discover over the coming months. We are already leaving new pockets of land that are not being mowed to allow the wild flowers through and we have been inundated with orchids.

A little wander round the lake and up to the field

The first 6 weeks at Lakehouse Holidays has been a whirlwind and amazing. Now we are getting the chance to take it all in. Today has been about looking at the plant life and listening img to the birds. We are so lucky, we are fully booked now for the summer. Ty Llyn, our most popular cottage with whirlpool bath now has a couple of weeks availability from the 18th September if anyone fancies an Indian summer break.
