As travel consultants, we often hear that anything travel related is so easy to book yourself and why on earth you would use me.
I have a little story to tell..

Last year I booked a fabulous holiday for a client, to go this March which included a scenic cruise from Argentina taking in some lovely sights, with a tour of São Paulo first ending with a stop in Rio, Brazil.
Their flights were from Heathrow to São Paulo, connecting to Buenos Aires then onto Ushuaia in Argentina.
Three weeks ago I received a WhatsApp message late Friday night, I work 24/7 so this wasn’t a problem.
The last flight outbound was cancelled , with no other flights that evening , clients panicking as you would ,because the cruise was setting sail the following day. I advised clients to wait in the queue to see what the airline were advising. In the meantime, I phoned my duty office and between us booked the connecting flight at 6am the next morning . My clients saw passengers in front of them being placed on standby with no seats booked, and no idea of how and when they would fly down to Ushuaia. I followed their flight down , job done, clients happy to board their ship in plenty of time. This is why we do what we do.
I received this message from my clients who were happy for me to post . ❤️

Managed to make (push!!) our way to the front of the queue and we are on tomorrow morning’s flight at 5.50 due to you holding those seats for us. the guy in front of us couldn’t get a flight and has had to go on standby! with a lot of help from google translate, we have also managed to find out suitcases!!
As we have to be back to drop/check our suitcases at 2.50 we are not bothering with a hotel and are hanging out in the airport
Thank you so much for your help, anyone who says it’s not worth using a travel agent doesn’t know what they are talking about!!
