JULY ROUNDUP: A bittersweet Month.
On Wednesday 2nd July, our first tour of the month headed into the Cotswolds, visiting Chipping Norton and Broadway. The following day, our coach was on hire to a private group visiting Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens.
After two days rest for Julian, our coach headed to Bedford and Huntingdon. The following day, it headed to Stranraer for the start of a five-day tour of Burns Country and Galloway. The excursions visited the Mull of Galloway, Portpatrick, Ayr, Alloway for the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and then Dumfries via the Doon Valley and Glenkens. There was a day of leisure in Stranraer which coincided with the Skiffie Worlds 2025. On Tuesday 8th, Brian took a private group from Bewdley to Chester.
Sadly, on the night of 9th July, Celia Phillips passed away. We have been overwhelmed with the many cards and messages received since then, from all corners of the UK between Cornwall and Shetland, thank you.
We emphasised business would continue as usual though - Celia wouldn't tolerate Julian slacking! So he returned to the road on Sunday 13th July with a day tour to Dunster and Minehead. The following day our coach was on hire to a private group visiting Aberystwyth.
On Wednesday 16th, our coach headed to Chester for our Midweek Super Saver. Then after two more rest days, it headed to Bradford and Saltaire for the UK City of Culture 2025. On Sunday 20th, we were on hire to a private group visiting Bath.
After the coach had it's intermittent safety check on Monday 21st, our coach headed to Weston-Super-Mare with a private group, followed by three days off for Julian.
On Saturday 26th July, our coach headed to the Peak District, visiting Ashbourne and Bakewell. Sunday 27th July was departure day for our seven-day tour of the Isle of Wight, as well as two days at leisure, excursions visited Ryde, Godshill, Ventnor, Brighstone, Yarmouth, Whippingham and Osborne House or Cowes via East Cowes.
Thank you all for your support during July.
