Travel Chapter Spirit Day: a chance to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate the brilliant people who make Travel Chapter what it is ✨

Now in its fourth year, TC Spirit Day brought our teams together to shine a light on our values, celebrate our people, and have a bit of fun along the way. Hosted by our CEO, Jayne McClure, the day included heartfelt shoutouts, inspiring speakers, and a few competitive rounds of online bingo (hundreds of you joined in from near and far!).

We were also lucky to be joined by our partners RSPB and Trussell, who reminded us why our support matters.

This year’s TC Spirit Awards were a highlight of the day, with more employee nominations than ever before. From the Marketing Maverick to the Governance Guru, these awards recognise outstanding individuals from each department across the business who shine with .

Huge congratulations to Debbie McKenzie from our Logistics Team, who took home this year’s overall Spirit Award for truly living our values. After 18 years with Travel Chapter, Debbie continues to inspire and make a difference every day.

𝐀 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 🎉❄️

Just over a week ago, we came together for our annual conference, Travel Chapter Next, welcoming over 650 colleagues to reflect on our 2024 successes and look ahead to 2025. The day ended with the much-anticipated 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐅𝐚𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫, where teams put their knowledge (and competitiveness!) to the test, making for a fun and memorable finale. 🥳

The celebrations didn’t stop there! In the evening, our event venues were transformed into the Travel Chapter SnowBall, with three parties being held simultaneously across Devon, Norfolk and the North. It was a heart-warming reminder of the that drives us forward.😁

As part of our commitment to making a positive impact as a business and supporting charitable organisations, we set ourselves a goal of raising £10,000 for Cancer Research UK over 12 months. Thanks to our colleagues’ fantastic fundraising efforts, we’ve raised an incredible £15,369.54 (including Gift Aid) and we couldn’t be more proud🎉

We wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who organised, participated, and donated to make this possible. To celebrate, we couldn't resist capturing the moment with a big cheque photo! 🏆

This achievement is deeply meaningful to us at Travel Chapter, as it is a cause that is close to many of our hearts. These funds will help Cancer Research UK continue its groundbreaking work toward a world where everyone can live longer, healthier lives free from cancer.

Thanks to all our incredible fundraising efforts for Cancer Research UK, our team had the privilege of visiting Southmead Hospital’s research labs to see firsthand how our funding is making an impact. From pioneering treatments for bowel cancer to exploring drug repurposing, and analysing cancer tissue samples, every step highlighted the determination to save lives through research.

We were also fascinated by their innovative use of technology, like smartwatches helping to break habits like smoking — a glimpse into the future of health and well-being.

And of course, we couldn’t resist a little friendly competition, tackling lab challenges with pipettes and test tubes, where we discovered some unexpected lab skills among the team!

Our partnership with Cancer Research UK has been inspiring, and we're so proud of what we’ve achieved together.
