Our residents at Newton Court were pleased to receive a new bean bag toss game, kindly gifted by some of our regular volunteers. It was very popular when it arrived and the residents in the lounge enjoyed the competition led by these volunteers.

The weather has become less inviting for outdoor activities, but we have continued to enjoy a variety of seasonal, indoor activities. Getting creative for autumn, residents have been busy painting the pumpkins in our autumn display. We have also held a relaxing pampering session which residents really enjoyed. Others have chosen to unwind at their own pace by tackling the jigsaw puzzles and games we have made available. Our much-loved weekly book reading sessions have continued throughout the autumn, too. Residents who enjoy a mystery have been settling in for a cosy reading session in the well heated conservatory. I am sure there will be lots of new activities taking place across the rest of autumn and into the winter.

We have a line-up of special events planned with fireworks, a petting farm visit and a musical performance all scheduled for November and plenty more to follow in December too.

Lots of events at Olivet. We’ve had Woodgate coffee morning and a coffee morning for Breast Cancer Awareness, plus an event for a member of staff going onto Maternity leave (isn’t the cake adorable, a real work of art!) – we love a coffee morning at Olivet! We’ve also been making autumn decorations.

At Fair Haven, we’ve recently really been enjoying crafts such as painting and making flower artwork 🎨🌸but still love being lively and active with fun ball games⚽ and our monthly coffee outings hosted by our wonderful Welfare team!!

🌿☕ At Kingsleigh House our residents recently enjoyed a lovely visit to Packwood house and gardens! We had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful surroundings in the sunshine, followed by a well-deserved cup of tea and a delicious slice of cake.
We thank all the friends of our welfare committee for giving their time and help to make these trips possible.
A lovely day filled with fresh air, smiles and happy memories! 😊

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Macmillan Coffee Morning at Fair Haven!

We had a lovely time enjoying a delicious selection of cakes and biscuits, all washed down with a hot cup of tea or coffee. Most importantly, we enjoyed the wonderful company of so many visitors.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we are delighted to have raised £140!

Your support will help Macmillan support the almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, from the moment they are diagnosed, throughout their treatment and beyond.

Come and join us at Fair Haven for a Seasonal Fair.

We’d love to welcome all our wonderful friends and family to Fair Haven on Saturday 14th November, from 10.30am to 2.30pm, as we get together and enjoy the start of the festive season.

Come along for a lovely day of festive fun, a chance to catch up with residents and staff, and perhaps pick up a few Christmas stocking fillers and gifts from our craft stalls.

There are lots of ways you can help make the day special too:
•🕐 Donate your time – if you’re able to lend a hand on the day, we’d be so grateful.
•🍾 Donate a bottle for our tombola – every donation helps make the tombola a success.
•🛍️ Have a stall of your own – for just £10, you can bring along your crafts, gifts or goodies, and keep all the profits you make!
Whether you come along to browse, shop, enjoy the festive atmosphere, run a stall, donate or simply spend some time with us, we’d love to see you.

Let’s make it a wonderful start to the festive season at Fair Haven!

🌸 What a lovely few days we’ve had at Kingsleigh House! 🌸

We enjoyed a beautiful visit to a walled garden, followed by a wonderful day trip to the seaside where we met friends — complete with fish & chips and a nice cup of tea! 🐟🍟☕️
Back at our home, we’ve been getting creative decorating cakes. Lots of fun, laughter and lovely memories made together!
