Tomorrow, 300 guests will join us for an afternoon exploring Cambridge’s restaurant scene.

A lineup taking us from candlelit dining rooms and rich spice-led cooking to fresh seafood and handmade pasta. Can’t wait for our guests to see what they’re all about.

Meet 45 Curtain Road

Part of the 45 London group- Shoreditch’s newest house of hospitality, blending rooftop dining, wellness, work and late nights into one seamless experience inside the Virgin Hotel.

The restaurant is known for marrying Japanese technique with Mediterranean soul. A chophouse where flame-grilled big cuts, sustainably sourced seafood and seasonal sharing plates take centre stage.

And on our visit, after Cesar (our videographer) finally stopped making him laugh, Chef Rod beautifully walked us through the dish they chose for our guests.

Braised Suffolk Pork Belly 🐖 slow cooked for 24 hours, served with peas, broad beans, savoy cabbage and quinoa. Pure comfort, beautifully balanced.

Meet Sticks’n’Sushi 🍣
A participating restaurant on our last tour in Shoreditch.

Half-Danish, half-Japanese family business that’s spent over thirty years quietly turning omotenashi, the Japanese spirit of wholehearted hospitality, into something you can taste and feel. Sushi crafted with precision, sticks fresh from the grill, and a refusal to cut corners on where it all comes from.

Their dining rooms tell the same story. Japanese architecture softened by Scandinavian warmth, timber and soft lighting, open kitchens that pull you into the craft.

A special lineup featuring- Scandinavian culinary traditions met with Asian flavours, a Korean grill from one of the city’s most acclaimed kitchen teams, fresh seafood championed for its provenance and quality, open-fire wood grilling, European-inspired plates in a converted steel works, modern Turkish cooking inside a 200-year-old former cutlery factory, and authentic Mexican tacos paired with one of the city’s most loved tequila and mezcal lists.
