Well the sunset dolphin cruise did not disappoint!

Lots of dolphins, the most BEAUTIFUL sunset, sea like a millpond, and amazing views of Rovinj Old Town from the water 🐬🌅🛥

Sadly my wildlife photography was as poor as always, but I tried my best 😆

Not only was it a wonderful experience, but boating activities here are so reasonably priced compared to other European destinations. Worth every Euro 😍

I'm on my travels again....this time on a mum and daughter mini-break to Rovinj, Croatia 🇭🇷

I can't quite believe it myself, but despite organising countless Croatia holidays for my customers, it's my first visit to this beautiful country. We're staying at the gorgeous Hotel Lone, a 20 minute walk from Rovinj Old Town and harbour.

Off on a sunset dolphin cruise this evening....very exciting 🐬🐬

On to Singapore!

I didn't really know what to expect from Singapore. But it was epic! Highly recommend as a pre-cruise or connection stop for a few days.

Marina Bay Sands observation deck, Gardens by the Bay, Royal Botanical Gardens, Little India, Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Clarke Quay.....then Universal Studios Singapore (the ideal day out if you're on a late flight!)

And of course....a Singapore Sling and food at Raffles 😋

What an end to an amazing trip! 🇸🇬🇸🇬

BORNEO!!!!!

Our first stop in Borneo was Sepilok where we had a chance to visit the orangutan and sun bear rehabilitation centres, and we had the pleasure of hosting a large male orangutan in the grounds of our resort 🦧

We then moved to the Kinabatangan River, where we had a series of river boat trips, searching the river banks for various wildlife. We weren't disappointed - spotting crocodiles, orangutans, proboscis monkeys, macaques, monkeys and beautiful birdlife 🐊🐒🦜

The next part of our trip was truly special! We were transported to the remote virgin rainforest of the Danum Valley, and the stunning Borneo Rainforest Lodge. From here, we took a series of rainforest hikes with a wonderful guide, who would point out the hundreds of species living in the ancient forest. Amongst these were leeches (😱), hence my beautiful leech socks in the photo 😂. After a day of dodging leeches, we were able to soak in our beautiful outdoor tub overlooking the 140 million year old rainforest 😍

After all this action, it was time for the beach! A short flight to Kota Kinabalu, followed by a speedboat transfer to the gorgeous Gaya Island Resort. The first thing we did on arrival was have a massage for our aching muscles 😆. Then all we had to do was relax by the beach and eat the hotel's delicious food. We did go on a snorkelling trip here too, seeing rays and lots of beautiful fish on the islands reef.

Borneo was certainly the adventure of a lifetime but it was time to move on to Singapore 🇸🇬

I'm back from my travels. And WOW they were amazing!

I've taken so many photos that I'm going to post them in 3 separate posts - Malaysia, Borneo and Singapore.

First of all.....Malaysia! 🇲🇾🇲🇾

We started our travels at the beautiful Tioman Island - a short ferry ride from the mainland. Rest, relaxation and recovery from the journey was the order of the day - and Tioman really delivered along with stunning sunsets 😍

Next came UNESCO heritage city Malacca. Steeped in colonial history, it's a melting pot of cultures. Great independent coffee shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a trip to the famous Jonker St night markets.

We followed that up with Kuala Lumpur - a huge, bustling metropolis with a diverse and friendly population. A visit to the Batu Caves, a street food tour, the Petronas Towers and an omakase experience were the highlights here.

We were ready for a rest after all that, but next stop Borneo!! ✈️
