Sorry for such delays between the updates! I'm back already, but thought I'd just finish off the trip uploads anyway 😆

Here is a look at my second week exploring northern Vietnam! Hanoi as always is an exciting city, full of surprises, and there is always more to see. 🇻🇳

I spent a few days visiting the Hanoi Women's Museum and the Temple of Literature, both of which are excellent for first-time visitors. Afterwards, I stopped for lunch at KOTO, a social enterprise restaurant located just around the corner.

Walking around the central lakes and the old citadel is also a great way to spend a quiet afternoon. The local meals are always the highlight. I highly recommend finding small street stalls serving fresh bowls of pho and grilled pork with herbs, alongside finding purposeful dining spots like KOTO. 🍜

Next up, an overnight sleeper bus north to Sapa. 🚌

It is a fun and pretty efficient way to cover the distance, and but do upgrade to the larger cabins where there is just two across, not three! My plan was to take in the famous views from Mount Fansipan, but the peak was completely covered in thick fog. ☁️ Typical! 😂

You cannot control the weather in the mountains, so I will use it as an excuse to return another time.
