🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Come step back into South Wales’ industrial past and experience how Blaenavon helped fuel the Industrial Revolution.

🚂 Join us as we operate an extended working timetable, featuring both passenger services and demonstration coal trains. See first-hand how coal was moved from pit to port, just as it would have been during the height of the coal industry.

⛏️ Continue your coal-themed visit by alighting at Big Pit Station and exploring the award-winning Big Pit National Coal Museum.

👷🏻‍♂️ Take the famous underground tour, led by a real former miner, descending 300 feet below ground into the original mine workings. This immersive experience offers a living, breathing insight into what life was really like for the men who worked at the coal face, bringing the human story of the coal industry vividly to life.

Foxhunter (1940–1959) was a champion show jumping horse ridden by Harry Llewellyn, best known for their part in securing Great Britain's only gold medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics (in the Team Jumping equestrian event).

Foxhunter died in 1959 and his hide was buried on the Blorenge mountain, between Abergavenny and Blaenavon.[4] A memorial plaque listing Foxhunter's achievements marks the Blorenge site and a car park is situated nearby. When Sir Harry died in 1999 his ashes were scattered around the horse's memorial.
