A very intimate evening with the beavers yet again. They showed great interest in me and I felt they were not intimidated by my being there. It was almost like 14-15 years ago when I first started watching them. Anyway, a few BoP pics, primarily marsh harriers, a buzzard with a rather ticked off corvid thinking he's an exocet missile, some swans etc. But yes, the beavers were the winners tonight.

A wee rip round local sites this evening to see what was moving about. The Marsh harriers I've been watching were very active and typically, I literally just missed a food pass by seconds, tho I did see it. Lots of black grouse spotted which was lovely to see.

So, I've had to take down a large larch in my garden due to safety issues. Absolutely gutted in all honesty but it was leaning too much into my neighbours garden and over their house. The "shed" on larch can be brutal and I'm very wary when it's windy. However, the larch lives on in the new guise of a dead hedge, hedgehog house and multiple compostable materials for the mini beasties. It's almost completed and I'm looking forward to chilling out watching the spuggies, robins, dunnock etc making use of it. I'm planning on putting up a bee hotel on the south facing side of the hedge as well.

More hare and grouse action today, the hares in particular being rather obliging. Out with Stacy Steven on our second visit, this one a bit more productive due to better weather.

In April I'm offering a discount on two people visiting my hide. I'm currently £70 pp for an exclusive 24 hour occupancy. Throughout April, I'll offer it for £100 for two. For three, it'd be £150 and for four £200. That equates to £50 pp but a minimum of two is required.
