🍎 BIG APPLE…. Day 2!

What we thought was an early start clearly wasn’t early enough 🙈 We headed to DUMBO, Brooklyn, super Insta-famous now, so by 8.30am there were already crowds queuing for that shot.

Tip: go before 8am if you want it quiet. We still managed some lovely pics though! (and thankfully for an app, I’ve managed to erase all the people off my picture!)

The boys had pancakes on their mind, so we went to at the Such a cool breakfast spot with unreal views of Manhattan Bridge right outside.

We checked out the kids’ play area at Brooklyn Bridge Park and grabbed some more money shots. Honestly, the vibe around that area is amazing, so up and coming and really family friendly. I loved it there.

Then came the big walk over Brooklyn Bridge

I advise going from Brooklyn into Manhattan. I think it’s the best way because you get those epic skyline views the whole way across. The boys smashed it in the heat (little legs, big bridge 👏).

I’d pre-booked Hugh Jackman’s From New York With Love at Radio City Hall. What a show! The theatre itself is incredible and … absolute showman 👌 The boys loved it too! They knew all The Greatest Showman songs 🫶

To top it off, we went full musical theatre vibes at diner. 🎶🍔

Aspiring Broadway stars serving you and singing, classic diner food, amazing atmosphere the perfect end to a big day.

Waked the 30 mins back to the hotel to walk off our food, and see the NYC streets!

Jet lag was still hanging around so an early night for us 😴

4. Walk from Brooklyn to Manhattan on the Brooklyn Bridge
5. Catch a matinee
6. Eat at Ellen’s Stardust Diner (no reservations, queue up and wait and for a table)

🍎 WELCOME TO NEW YORK

Day 1….

Jet lag had us up and out by 7.30am (who even are we?!)

🚇 Started downtown at the Financial District, paid our respects at Ground Zero, then hopped on a cruise to see Lady Liberty herself 🗽 (apparently the boys thought she should’ve been taller 😂).

Wandered Hudson River Park, ate our way through Chelsea Market, then walked the High Line, an old railway line turned into a park in the sky. Such a cool way to see the city from above with art, gardens and views all along the way.

Finished the day on a rooftop overlooking Times Square 🌆 A jam-packed first day in the Big Apple.

3. Either FREE ferry over to Staten Island or pay for one of the cruises that takes you near the Statue of Liberty.
4. Take a walk down Hudson River Park

7. Evening in Times Square
8. Beasts and Butterlies Rooftop bar at MSocial Hotel, Times Square

Spent 24 hours at the Edinburgh Fringe watching my amazing nephew! This is Jake Thomas everyone… proud doesn’t cut it. Only a few shows left. If you’re up at the Fringe this week go see him in !

It’s my birthday today 🥳 and I’m feeling all kinds of grateful (and very, very tired 😅).

I’ve just had the most unforgettable weekend watching my gay bestie marry his soulmate. I was a bridesmaid (honoured doesn’t even cover it) and honestly… how will we ever top this weekend?!

A 3-day party full of love, laughter, incredible food, flowing drinks, epic music and the most fabulous people. My heart is full and my feet are sore 💃

Huge thank you to my mum, dad and sister-in-law Ange for taking such good care of our boys while we celebrated, they’ve had the best time too. We were reunited today and wrapped it all up with a birthday lunch at one of our favourite spots. Just perfect 🫶

What a way to turn another year older 🥰

❤️Did you know I had three weddings?!

Ok, technically two and a big knees-up.

Yesterday marked 10 years married to Mr Wonderful 💙 We officially tied the knot in the UK a whole decade ago… and what a ride it’s been!

We’ve bought our first family home, made two beautiful boys, started two businesses and had some amazing adventures along the way.

Rich said, “Thanks for putting up with me.” I said the same back 😅 Safe to say we’re on the same page.

We had a really special day yesterday which I’ll share more of next week, but we spent it with dear friends and tried a new restaurant The Italian Orchard in Broughton. Amazing place! Perfect way to celebrate 10 years!

Here’s to the next 10 (with fewer early starts and more lie-ins… please boys 😅)

Saturday = karaoke, cocktails, and chaos with the besties 🍸🎤 (limited photo evidence for obvious reasons…)

BUT Friday = a charity ball for that involved Bez from the Happy Mondays… mad as a box of frogs!!🕺🏻😂

Massive shoutout to the amazing Maura Jackson as this was her last charity ball as CEO… what a woman ❤️

Also a little plug for bestie who did the most fabulous balloon arrangement, my picture doesn’t do it justice! There is no end to her talents. If you need anything like that for your upcoming events, please give her a follow!

☀️ MAY… YOU WERE GREAT!

From belly laughs in Torremolinos for my Gay husband’s St-En do (dressed as young Bobby, NOT minions 😂), spa days with the dream team, cricket club beers, football-mad weekends (both boys now footy lads… with Coach Rich leading tbe way!)

To charity lunches with the besties supporting , celebrating our baby of the Thomas clan Tili Belle’s 4th birthday, half term chaos calmed with a trip to the Trafford Centre with our little Daisy Hill crew, and finishing off with a travel party sharing the business I LOVE! We work hard, and play hard… and laughed harder!!!

✨ WEEKLY ROUND-UP ✨

The theme of this week: sick kids, spa days, and squeezing in business wins between poo clean-ups. 💩💻💆‍♀️

Monday kicked off strong with Leo coming down with a delightful case of sickness & diarrhoea. I won’t go into detail but let’s just say… I earned my stripes in motherhood (again). 💪🏼

But THIS is the beauty of working for myself. No awkward calls to HR. No guilt. Just me, my laptop, and a lot of Dettol.

Tuesday? The sun came out, Rich worked from home (hero), and I escaped to the dreamiest spa day at Champneys Mottram Hall with some of my gorgeous travel team. We honestly could’ve been abroad, it was that nice. 🧖‍♀️🌞🌸

Midweek = juggling Leo still off school, catching up on client quotes, and getting stuck into a new project I cannot wait to share with you! 👀✨

Thursday brought a little shift – Leo was slightly better, Rich tag-teamed again (MVP), and I got to support the amazing Fort Alice charity at a ladies’ lunch. They do life-changing work for women and families facing domestic abuse, and I feel lucky to be able to help raise awareness in any small way. 💜

Just as Leo was ready to go back to school… Max went down with the bug. 😷
Rich was off golfing on Saturday (excellent timing ⛳️😂), so I was on solo duty with a poorly Max and a full-of-energy Leo. Luckily, Leo’s ambition to be an artist when he grows meant he spent an hour working on his own Monet collection 🎨🖌️

We rounded off the week with a football party for Leo on Sunday while Max convalesced on the sofa.

Despite all the germs, sick bowls and Calpol, I’ve actually had a productive one. Proof that even when the juggle is very, very real, the business still moves. 💥

Manifesting a healthier, sunnier, more chilled week ahead. 🙏🏼
