If you’re looking for a luxury family holiday that genuinely delivers, this is one I can personally recommend. ❤️

I was lucky enough to stay at Ikos Dassia myself and it remains one of my favourite all-inclusive resorts I’ve visited.

What really stood out to me was how effortlessly it caters for everyone. The food was exceptional, the service was incredible, and the setting right on the beachfront is simply beautiful. But what impressed me most was how family-friendly it is without ever losing that luxury feel.

For those travelling with little ones, the children’s facilities, activities and family-focused touches make it such an easy and relaxing holiday. Parents can genuinely switch off knowing there’s plenty to keep the children entertained, while still enjoying some well-deserved downtime themselves.

It’s one of those rare resorts that works just as well for couples as it does for families.

Final Day in New Zealand 🇳🇿✨

After waking up to probably the best sleep I’ve had since arriving (those hot spring pools definitely worked their magic 😂), we headed off on a 4WD back country tour and what a beautiful way to start our final day.

Driving through the untouched rural hills and mountains was just incredible and it felt like we were seeing a completely different side of New Zealand. At one point we were surrounded by a herd of cattle casually roaming the fields and honestly they were just beautiful animals in the most stunning setting.

Then we did something which might sound a little strange to some people… we went for pies at the famous Fairlie Bakehouse (when you know, you know 👀🥧).

As a coeliac, finding genuinely good gluten free food can sometimes be difficult whilst travelling, but this place absolutely did not disappoint. The pies honestly did not taste gluten free at all and even now my mouth is watering thinking about them again! They also had so many other gluten free options including savouries, cakes, biscuits and cheesecake. I enjoyed it so much I didn’t even stop to take photos… which says everything really 😂

And just like that, it was time to head to the airport for our journey home.

What an incredible trip this has been from start to finish. We have been so fortunate to experience the very best of New Zealand and work alongside the most amazing hosts and suppliers throughout the journey. I honestly cannot thank them enough for creating such a memorable experience.

Day 10 in New Zealand 🇳🇿✨

Today we said goodbye to The Rees Hotel and began our journey towards Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo, and once again the scenery completely blew me away. No matter how many times you stop to admire the views in New Zealand, they somehow continue to take your breath away every single time.

We stopped at The Hermitage Hotel for lunch and a short site visit, but honestly the views of Mount Cook were just WOW. Absolutely stunning.

Then came a very exciting change to the itinerary… after missing out on our glacier helicopter flight in Franz Josef due to bad weather, today was finally the day, and the weather could not have been more perfect! We took off for the most incredible helicopter flight over the glaciers, including a glacier landing too. Such an unforgettable experience and definitely one of those pinch me moments! 🚁❄️

From there we continued on to beautiful Lake Tekapo and checked into Peppers Bluewater Resort where we enjoyed a lovely hosted dinner at the hotel.

But the surprises didn’t stop there…

Later in the evening we headed out for a stargazing experience and honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. Lake Tekapo is one of the best places in the world for stargazing and seeing the sky lit up so clearly with stars was just magical.

And then to make the evening even more special, we ended the night relaxing in the hot spring pools underneath the stars until we were practically shrivelled up like prunes 😂✨

Honestly, what an incredible way to end such a special day 🇳🇿
