HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY Captain (now Colonel Tom) you are truely amazing.
and thank your to Michael Harper the percussion teacher at North Halifax Grammer School and The Scarborough Spa Orchestra for this very moving tribute.
You will hopefully recognise the music being played is a "slowed down" arrangement of "You'll Never Walk Alone", the song from the Rogers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel", maybe better known these days as Liverpool FCs terraces anthem and most recently the now Number One Hit recorded by Captain Tom and Michael Ball.

I'm sure you'll all agree that Michael having created this with some of his musician friends and his own son, James, a past NHGS student, playing the piano is a very fitting and personal tribute in a time when we all need wonderful things such as this to keep our spirits up. Michael's daughter appears near the end of the video, one of the nurses in their medical gowns. Well Done Everyone
