Alongside the walking trail and information points, Bingley Heritage Trail will also include a new online home for local history.

This website will host an archive of material gathered from local residents and informed by Bingley’s many keen historians .

With just two weeks to go until the official opening of the Bingley Heritage Trail, the countdown begins !

Here’s a peek at one of the illustrations that features in our timeline of Bingley’s history. An ancient artefact that can still be found in our district today, but can you guess what it is ?

The Bingley Heritage Trail :

Almost twelve months in the planning, supported by ten key local organisations, guided by numerous local schools and countless members of the Bingley community.

Be amongst the first to follow the trail, Sunday the 14th of September.

There’s lots of lovely things going on across Bingley this weekend and you’ll find all of the details over at Bingley Creates

We’ll be joining our friends from Walkers Are Welcome in Bingley , at the starting point of their walks, in Bingley Town Square. We’d love to speak to anyone keen to share their own memories of Bingley. Particularly those with fond recollections of some of the towns past community events, shows and festivals.

Find us alongside Bingley Walkers Are Welcome, 9am until 2pm, Monday the 5th of May. Say hello and stop by for a chat !

Just a reminder that tomorrow, 16th January, we will be popping up at Bingley Library and we'd love to see you there !

For this visit we are particularly keen to meet with anyone who had a particular connection to, or stories of, The Bingley Show. Anyone with mementos or artifacts from these events, such as photographs, pamphlets, certificates etc would be particularly welcome, as we would love to photograph any items you can bring along. Though if all you have to hand is fond memories, we'd love to hear these too !

Happy New Year !

As we head into 2025, plans for an exciting district wide Heritage Trail are gathering pace. With this in mind we are keen to chat with Bingley residents about the project and perhaps gather your thoughts and recollections, all of which will help inform the trail .

On Thursday the 16th of January we will be popping up at Bingley Library and we'd love to see you there !
