The Remote Cottage Company Cosy holiday cottage situated on the edge of the Wark Forest, in Northumberland. Heating provided by a bio-mass boiler. Courtyard,parking.

This former Gamekeepers cottage lies within the Wark forest bordering the Northumberland National Park.It is 10 miles from Gilsland,a small village located between Carlisle and Newcastle-upon-Tyne.The Wark forest offers an ideal opportunity for mountain biking,walking,bird watching or even just relaxing.The cottage is set in the Dark Sky Park and so is ideal for stargazing. The Bothy comprises 2 b

edrooms,1 double bedroom and 1 bedroom with bunk beds plus travel cot. Bathroom with shower
On the ground floor there is a kitchen/dining room,living room and utility room. Equipped with dishwasher,microwave,tumble dryer and washing machine.Bed linen and towels included. No smoking,2 well behaved pets welcomed.

Little Miss Tinks mother Sylvia was unable to provide milk. We came to an agreement that we would co parent. I do the feeding and Sylvia educates Tinks in all manner of sheep stuff. As you can see Tinks is thriving ✨️ 😊

Last few weeks have been a bit stressful. Health issues with the sheep due to the dry weather which have resolved now, a fox got into the hen ark killing every single hen and sadly on Wednesday our lovely Nev the goat passed away. He was popular with our guests and very much loved by us. An absolute character, affectionate, gentle and the first in line for cream crackers. Missing him so much 😔
