We realise not everyone wants to holiday on Skye during the busy summer months, so to encourage all you love staycation adventurers, we have reduced the nightly price for Skye Coorie Cabin during the month of November from £135 pn to £115pn. That's rolling the price back to our 2021 starting out price!!

I love history, especially Scottish History and so I've started following this fella... This snippet of history was too good not to share!

Bagpipes were a weapon of war for hundreds of years, you could be charged for carrying them, the same as if you were carrying a gun!

I was due to attend a big Fair this week and spent a lot of time and money on it, but it was cancelled last minute. So, I'm selling peices with 20% off and free postage on orders over £50.

Have a peak at my stuff, it's all paper from the Highland Photography Calendars, to the Maps of Skye or old books... Obviously all rain proof as you know, Skye can be a bit damp 😂☔🤣

I will never ask you for your bank details. Unless we have already had you stay and you book direct. The vast majority of our bookings are through b.Com. They deal with all the money, so if you are asked by supposed accommodation provider for verification via bank details, always question it, it's not normal practice. STAY VIGILANT AND DON'T FALL FOR SCAMS. xx

We are urging accommodation providers and guests to remain vigilant following reports of scam emails targeting hotel bookings on the Isle of Barra.

A hotel on the island has reported that a number of guests with upcoming reservations have received fraudulent emails requesting bank details to "confirm" their booking. The emails are sent from an address that is not connected to the hotel.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and we would encourage anyone who owns or manages accommodation - as well as those with upcoming bookings- to be alert to this type of scam.

If you have any concerns or receive a suspicious email, please contact Police Scotland on 101, or report it to Advice Direct Scotland on 0808 164 6000.

A wee update now the phone signal is back. We lost power yesterday lunch time, and I'm afraid, for us it's not expected back until 10pm on Thursday night, possibly even into Friday. So we have the fire going and the gas hob for hot drinks! So pleased none of our lovely guests were put out by all of this. Xx

It was a bit wild earlier. We lost power at 12 lunch time and it's not going to be back on until 5pm tomorrow! Thankfully we have a gas hob and plenty wood to keep us warm. Lots of trees down, campers toppled and widespread damage across Skye and Lochalsh, and Highland Region.

I'm not one to complain, but... the last THREE reviews we have had via B. Com have coincidentally had 7.5 score out of ten for cleanliness, facilities and cost. Now, if you have stayed with us before, you know I have OCD and the cabin is immaculate.

So I am convinced there is either a glitch in B. Com or the App is set out in a way it is not obvious the score is out of 10.

Please rest assured Skye Coorie is clean and well equipped, as for cost, we are competitive to other similar accommodation on Skye, and cheaper than the Premier Inn or a mediocre place in the city.
