Mental Health Awareness Week
This week was all about raising awareness and starting conversations around mental health—and I wanted to share a bit about what helps me look after mine.
For me, good mental health is supported by simple but meaningful things
🍃Spending time outdoors in nature
🏃🏻♀️Staying active
🫶Volunteering and connecting with others
🥰meaningful people
I had the chance to get involved in a community sports day to mark Mental Health Awareness Week, volunteering with Murton Trust. They support such a wide range of people, including those who are on their own mental health journeys, and it was a privilege to be part of that.
I also volunteered with Brechin Netball to highlight the benefits of team sport and social connection—sometimes just being around others, moving, laughing, and supporting each other makes a big difference.
Saturday morning’s wouldn’t be the same now without Parkrun and this week a visit to in the blazing sunshine! Parkrun wouldn’t exist without its amazing volunteers, thank you! 👏🏻
To not mention great fresh food and lovely coffee wouldn’t complete my wellbeing story Sacred Grounds Coffee Company
Mental health is something we all have, and it’s important we take care of it—just like we would our physical health. Let’s keep making space for ourselves and each other
