Have you ever seen an Otter in the wild?

I have yet to see one, I usually have our dog with me and I think they are scared away before I get there, but Jon has seen them numerous times and so have our guests from Easy on the Wye.

Did you know a single adult otter can patrol a a huge territory covering up to 40 kilometres of a river system and its surrounds?

Tag who you would you stargaze with?

Did you know Bannau Brycheiniog/ Brecon Beacons National Park is a designated Dark Sky resort?

This means for you, our guests, you have the most wonderful clear views of the stars and the sky from Easy on the Wye Shepherds Hut and from the hot tub.

Can you picture yourself stargazing in the bubbling hot tub?

🐾 WE NEED YOUR HELP! Past, present & future guests! 🌿

Our lawn mower has finally reached the end of its days, so we're faced with a bit of a dilemma here at Easy on the Wye Shepherds Hut ! 🤔

Do we invest in a traditional ride-on mower 🚜 or take the plunge and get a robot mower 🤖?

Now, we know what we think… but what really matters is what YOU, our guests, think! ❤️

One of our biggest questions is… would a robot mower scare your dog? 🐶

Our own dog seems absolutely fine with them, but we know all dogs are different, and we want to make sure we're making the right choice for everyone who comes to stay with us.

So, we'd love to hear from you!

🐾 Would your dog be happy with a little robot whizzing around the lawn?

🤔 Would you have any concerns about a robot mower while staying here?

🌿 Or would you prefer us to stick with a traditional ride-on mower?

We want Easy on the Wye to be as lovely an experience for our four-legged guests as it is for their humans, so your opinions really will help us make this decision!

Please pop your thoughts in the comments below! 👇

And if you've stayed with us before, are planning a visit, or are simply a dog owner with an opinion, we'd love to hear from you! 🐶❤️

Have you ever had a Gurkha curry?

We only recently discovered our local Gurkha Pub who do take away curry. And it is delicious.

Did you know Sygnets often ride on their mothers backs while swimming to keep warm? (Although probably not when they're this big! 🤣).

Have you heard of Fungi town? This weekend is Fungi town in Hay- a whole festival devoted to Fungi. There is so much on from fungal forays to all sorts of storytelling, talks and crafts and it sounds amazing. What do you like the sound of most? Below are a few things that caught my eye. Now I just need to find a way to escape the girls to go...

Have you heard of a Crannog or an Afanc?

Llangors Lake is less than quarter hour from us, and it is famous for having the only discovered medieval Crannog. Have you heard of the Afanc? Comment below if you know or want to know what a Crannog or Afanc is?
