Gatehouse Holiday Cottage Holiday cottage located in Painscastle mid way Hay-On-Wye and Builth Wells. Sleeps up to six in characterful traditional Welsh cottage.

Gatehouse is a four bedroomed cottage in the small historic village of Painscastle. It wasn't always as it is now! Originally a small but perfectly formed stone house built around 1700 and then known as Shop House. Since the turn of the century it has been a hive of crafting activity namely carpentry then blacksmithing and now a combination of both! The idea for a holiday cottage has come about by

a desire for us to share with you the wonderful joys of this area...beautiful rolling moorland, mountains and rivers as well as bustling lively towns like Hay-On-Wye. Come and experience walking, riding and cycling all on the doorstep, as is The Roast Ox Inn, a fantastic pit stop for all enjoying outdoor and indoor pursuits! It's been a great Christmas to round off a fantastic first year of running Gatehouse holiday cottage. All our visitors have been lovely and have appreciated the wonderful area that is Radnorshire. Thanks all for choosing Gatehouse
