Talgarth Visitor Centre

Talgarth Visitor Centre Open 10:00 - 1:00 Mon to Saturday. By 2004 the organisation had grown to encompass many new ventures and was renamed Talgarth Information and Resource Centre.

Based in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, Talgarth Visitor Centre offers a range of services for visitors and locals alike:

Printing and photocopying services, local books, maps and guides, gifts and cards. In the late 1990s Talgarth Trust was started by a small group of volunteers to help revitalise the town following the traumatic winding down and closure of the mid-Wales Hospital, one of the

town's main employers. Talgarth Tourist Information Centre was set up as part of the Trust which had ceased by 2000, but the Centre continued as a Community Association. Originating with tourist information, the centre has gone from strength to strength now catering for many local people who require information such as train/bus timetables, doctors, library, church, theatre programmes etc. The Centre is a valuable source of information in the Town for locals and visitors alike. As well as having information regarding local events, we also have a key to St Gwendonline’s Church which may be borrowed from us by visitors, and there is also a RADAR key for the public toilets.

Have you seen the price of greetings cards lately? They can add around £4.00 on to the cost of a gift and with postage on top of that then it's starting to get a bit much. Talgarth Visitor Centre has a range of competitively priced (under £2.00) cards for every occasion. The Centre is open from 10:00 - 1:00 so drop in and take a look and get stocked up so that you never forget a birthday. While you're in there have a browse around the gifts, you'll be surprised at what you'll find.
