Please be aware that as a result of the wild fire at Llangynidr Reservoir, Llynfi Holiday Park is currently experiencing persistent smoke as it moves towards our area.

Authorities have advised that where smoke is affecting areas, doors and windows should be kept closed.

Please be advised of this situation as well as the expected hot weather for the next few days, if planning to visit your caravan.

Bearing in mind the recent devastation caused by the fires in Blaenavon and surrounding area we ask you to please read the following:

Natural Resources Wales has now declared that:

"A drought has been extended across the whole of Wales with the country on course for its driest July on record in 190 years."

In the interests of the safety of all at Llynfi, in support of all efforts to conserve water in Wales and in line with our Fire Service's requests, we ask that all customers observe the following:

Barbecues will not be permitted on Llynfi Holiday Park until further notice.

No use of hose pipes.

As written in our rules, paddling pools of any sort and jacuzzis, plus garden water features, sprinklers and the use of automatic watering systems are also prohibited.

We would like to remind you of a few dates listed below:

Flamingo Burgers will be visiting our holiday park during the afternoon/evening of Aug 1st. Please see the posters for further information.

Thank you to all those who have paid their mid season electricity fees. The date by which these were due to be paid has now passed and payment is over due. Please make sure to settle your account as soon as possible and in all cases by Aug 3rd.

Your final electricity reading will be taken in the first week of November and your invoice will be issued shortly after. Closing date for our holiday park is November 8th 2026.

We hope everyone continues to enjoy the 2026 season and look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks. As the dry, hot weather continues we would like to thank you for your continued safety and fire vigilance.

Fire Risk Awareness Advisory
We ask that all customers at Llynfi take a few moments to read the following advice from Bannau Brycheiniog:

The fire Severity Index in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park continues to remain at 'High and Exceptional' due to '...persistently dry and exceptionally hot weather.'

'People are advised not to light BBQs and to think responsibly how to dispose of cigarette butts, lighters, glass bottles and matches.'

Similarly we would advise that you remove any stored fuel from sheds etc at Llynfi in a responsible and safe manner, relocating it somewhere more suitable. Temperatures in sheds rise very rapidly, higher than outdoor temperatures.

Similarly, please be aware that strings of fairy lights are a risk, particularly if draped in foliage and along timber structures. All outdoor lights should have UK safety certification.

Please check electrics for damaged wires or cracked insulation. Ensure that electric points are not overloaded.

Please do not leave E Bikes charging unattended.

As always, we ask that you are gas aware and if you smell any gas, please alert a member of staff.

Fire Safety Awareness

Following today's field fire on Llangorse Mountain(successfully brought under control by our Fire Services), we would like to remind everyone that since we have had a very dry spell of weather and we now have dry, gusty condition this is a perfect situation for accidental fires to start.

We ask you to familiarise yourself with our fire safety regulations sent to you at the beginning of the season and to be extra vigilant and careful when barbecuing (coal barbecues are banned and permitted barbecues should be positioned as per the guidelines with regard to neighbouring caravans).

Other fire hazards include discarded glass bottles left outside, discarded cigarette ends, electric bike charging, power banks and chargers for lap tops and phones left unattended.

Please check that your fire safety equipment in your caravan is in date and working. We advise that both fire retardant blankets and extinguishers are to hand in your caravan. Check that your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are working correctly.

Please also ensure safe handling of gas bottles. All gas bottles whether empty or full should be stored upright and if a smell of gas is ever detected. please let a member of staff know immediately.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and are looking forward to seeing everyone when we open for the new season on March 13th 2026. The season will end on November 8th 2026.

We would also like to reassure you that all is well at our holiday park after last week's stormy weather. A daily check of the holiday park is made by our staff and we will contact you immediately should there be anything that needs attending to regarding your caravan or pitch. To this end please make sure that your contact details (email address, address and tel.number) are up to date. Please contact Ewelina during office hours (9 am to 4pm Mon to Fri) to make any changes or advise us by email: [email protected]

Before the season gets underway, we ask you to familiarise yourselves with the set of site rules that were sent out to you by post at the end of last season. We ask that you pay particular attention to the section regarding caravan and pitch safety. Further we ask that you plan to make any fire safety amendments to your pitch/caravan as soon as possible after the opening date in order to comply with these requirements. We would like to stress that these rules are for the safety and well being of all at Llynfi Holiday Park so that everyone can enjoy a safe and pleasant environment.

Finally we would like to thank everyone who has made the required payment of fees and electricity charges for last season and would remind those few who have outstanding invoices for the 2025 season, that these should be paid immediately. A reminder also that payment of pitch deposits for static caravans for the 2026 season is due by January 15th 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you back at Llynfi in a few months time.

As the 2025 season comes to an end, we would like to remind you of some preparations you need to make in order to winterise your pitch and caravan. Llynfi Holiday Park will close on November 9th. There will be no access to Llynfi after this date as the road will be closed by Powys County Council who will be carrying out road works on the access road between the trekking centre and the lake on Nov 10th.

Llynfi Holiday Park will be closed during the winter months and there will be no access to the park for security reasons unless by prior arrangement.

Please make sure that all water services to your caravan are drained thoroughly and electricity turned off. All windows and sky lights must be closed and secured.

If you do not wish to keep your caravan here for the winter please make arrangements to remove it by Nov 9th. Our rate for winter storage is £310. Please make sure this fee has been paid by Nov 9th.

Finally, we thank you for your custom this season and we wish you the very best for the Christmas period.We look forward to seeing you in the Spring of 2026.

It’s great to see everyone enjoying the school holidays at Llynfi.

Just a gentle reminder to everyone in our Llynfi community to make sure we keep everyone safe:

- Please drive at a MAX of 5mph at all times — no exceptions.

- Look carefully behind your car before reversing — kids can move fast and are not always easy to spot.

- Reverse into spaces where possible, so you can see more clearly when pulling out.

Parents, grandparents and carers — please supervise your children, especially near roads and cars.

A quick reminder for all dog owners:

If you haven’t yet completed a dog registration form, please pop in to see Ewelina at reception to collect and fill one out. It only takes a minute and helps us keep everyone safe and happy.

FURTHER INFORMATION FOR DOG OWNERS

Please note that although dogs are welcome at Llynfi we ask that you observe the following:

• We absolutely do not permit dogs to be left unattended at our holiday park. The RSPCA will be contacted should dogs be found unsupervised.

• We ask that you do not construct dog kennels on your pitch without talking to us first and seeking approval.

• We will shortly be setting up a dog register where you will be required to list the breed, age, colour/markings of your dog(s). Forms will be circulated to you soon by Ewelina.

• All dogs must be kept on leads at all times on the caravan park.

• Aggressive behaviour or excessive barking by dogs will result in owners being asked to permanently remove their dog from the holiday park.

Thank you for your support with the above regulations which are for the wellbeing and safety of all dogs, dog owners and fellow holiday makers. Leaving dogs unattended is a welfare issue and the RSPCA will be contacted.
