Six months into our solar journey here at South Barlogan Farm, and we’re so proud of the impact so far 🌱☀️

Since installing our solar panels, we’ve:
🌳 Offset the equivalent of planting 6,193 trees
🌍 Saved 6,174 kg of CO₂ emissions
🛢️ Reduced energy use equal to 761 litres of oil

A small step in the grand scheme, but a meaningful one for our farm and the future we’re working towards. Here’s to continuing the journey 🌿💚

Spent the most beautiful morning at South Barlogan Farm, soaking up the warmth, blue skies, and fresh country air. The animals were just as happy as I was — hanging out in the sunshine and enjoying every golden ray.

Days like this remind me how special simple moments can be 💛🌼

We didn’t bring home a Thistle Award, but we did bring home great memories, full hearts, and—thanks to Colene—a bottle of Irish whiskey (because of course we did - the irony wasn’t lost - promise 🥃😂).

Truly honoured just to be nominated and to be in a room full of absolute stars—the very best of Scottish hospitality. What a night! ✨

Huge congratulations to all the winners—so well deserved. We’ll keep flying the flag for South Barlogan, with mud on our boots and mischief in our hearts. 💚🚜

🎉🏆 TODAY’S THE DAY! 🏆🎉

South Barlogan Farm is trading wellies for wow-factor tonight as we head to the Scottish Thistle Awards - West of Scotland Regional Finals at The Radisson Blu Hotel, for Best Self-Catering Stay!

We’ve fluffed the pillows, shined the wellies (just in case), and squeezed into our glad rags – turns out waterproofs aren’t black tie 🤷‍♀️

Nerves? Aye. Excited? Absolutely.
Honoured? 100%.
Packing snacks in case the ceremony runs long? Obviously.

Big thanks to for the nomination – win or lose, we’re just thrilled they let country bumpkins into fancy venues. 😂🐑🐓

It’s been a busy week at South Barlogan Farm! 🌿☀️

We’ve just added 48 shiny new solar panels to the farm – a big step on our journey to being more sustainable, self-sufficient, and eco-friendly 💚 Massive thanks to for the smooth install!

We’ve cleaned up, the sun’s out (a little 🤣), and we’re all set to welcome guests later today. Excited to share our greener, quieter way of life with you 🌾🏡
