Deputy Minister Julie Morgan urges parents across Wales to take advantage of Out of School Childcare clubs, which offer a safe and fun environment for children to thrive in while their parents pursue their careers. Today, she visited Dexter’s Out of School Childcare Club to see what holiday care means for children.

It's the last day at club this week, which only means one thing... EGG HUNT! The sun came out at the right time for us to go searching through our grounds in a hunt for the golden egg. It's fair to say we all had an egg-cellent time!

Place your nominations now for our Out of School Awards 2023!

Is there a Playworker who has gone above and beyond to provide excellent play and care for children? Do you want to recognise a Manager/Committee who has worked hard to support the mental health of staff members? Is there an Out of School Childcare Club that are champions of inclusive practice, or who really champion children’s right to play?

Nominations can be made by children (with adult supervision), parents/carers, Playworkers, clubs, local authority personnel or other professionals working with children. You can place nominations for any or all of the 9 different Awards featured. Voting closes on 9th December 2022, and winners will be announced at our Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony in February 2023.
