If you've been saying "one year I'll actually go to the Christmas markets" for about five years running, this might be the year to stop saying it.
A river cruise genuinely solves the annoying part of Christmas market trips. Normally you're picking one city, or if you want a few, you're booking separate hotels, working out trains between them, sorting transfers, and losing half a day each time to logistics. On a river cruise, you unpack once and wake up somewhere new most mornings, with the markets more or less right there when you step off.
The Rhine itinerary is the one I keep coming back to when people ask me about this. Moving between a handful of German towns along the same river means you get real variety in the markets themselves, some bigger and more famous, some smaller and much quieter, without any of the actual travel admin falling on you.
What I actually help with here is narrowing down the right one for you specifically. There are a lot of river cruise options doing similar routes at very different price points, with different ships, different lengths, different departure dates. I go through what you're after, your budget and your dates, and match you to the itinerary that actually fits, rather than just the first one you find searching yourself.
If a Christmas market river cruise has been on your list for a while, message me and let's actually make this the year.
