WAITING FOR THE UPDATE? - SO HERE IT IS.

WHO LOVES MARSHMALLOWS?

As mentioned earlier we had lost the lovely bird bath, which you could see so many birds making use of. Sadly it cracked and fell apart.
Under the bird bath was a concrete tub..
We tried to decided what we could use it for. hmmmm.
A large pot full of flowers, a small tree? - NO, garden has so many already.
We have a early morning coffee/tea 2 seat and table area.
We have a large decked area with a larger table and 4 chairs for eating out after using the BBQ area (or even a meal that has been prepared indoors).
Light bulb moment - Why not use it as a fire pit!!!
(Kindling is not supplied and will need to be purchased by guests).

So we now have a fire pit area, with some chairs to sit on. You do not have to use the fire pit and just use these chairs as alternative seating for sitting out in the sun.

Clocks went forward.
Spring is here.
This means one thing. The Wishing Well Bungalow is having its spring clean outside.
As much as possible the gardens are being weeded, but with the end of the daffodils and the start of the bluebells arriving this will take time and being done over the next few weeks.
The front garden since having the trees removed has brought up some many bulbs that we didnt know were even there. (Thank you to our gardener who has supplied the pictures for us).
Deckings have been cleaned and the table and chairs have been opened up.
Sadly due to old age we have lost the bird bath (hope to get another in time).
However, we have added a new piece of garden artwork to enjoy. And will be something to look at when most of the plants disappear over winter time.
We do also have a new feature in the garden to help with those relaxing days and evenings. More details and pictures to follow.

As some of you will be aware we started off almost 19 years ago by hiring our caravans on the West Bay Holiday Park in Dorset. We then were asked to help other owners on that park hire their caravans (by not only the owners themselves, but the holiday park asked us to help some owners who were put in touch with us). Then we also started with The Wishing Well Bungalow in Chideock.
Those caravans are currently in the process of being set up for the 2025 season.

All the properties including the bungalow are the owners own private holiday homes. They take their own holidays in these properties.

Have a look at its FB page for the caravans for current availablility.
Many dates are already booked in all the properties including the bungalow.
If you would like a quieter stay The Wishing Well is a lovely option. You can still visit the same local area's and places as the holiday park, but staying at the bungalow gives you your own private garden to spend time in. Along with the property being larger in size than the caravans.

The Wishing Well garden is springing into life with our first daffodil flower has come out.
New shoots on all the roses.
Some plants not looking their best due to pruning and some waiting until the last frost to be pruned.
Lawns have had their first cut if the year.
And some fences have been replaced.
All we can say is roll on Spring and then Summer.
