Safe to say the workload is not being shared equally today. 😂

Still, the important bit is getting done — clients checked in, plans finalised, everything moving as it should.

Meanwhile, management remains unavailable for comment.

FROM SOMEONE WHO USED TO FEEL GUILTY ABOUT TAKING ANNUAL LEAVE…

I used to hate the thought of being off while everyone else was still working.

You start thinking:

“Are they going to be short staffed?”
“Is someone else going to have to pick up my work?”
“Will people think I’m taking the piss?”
“Maybe I’ll just save a few days…”

And before you know it, you’re treating annual leave like Pokémon cards — collecting the bloody things instead of using them. 😂

But here’s the thing I eventually realised:

Your annual leave is part of your job.

You’ve earned it.
You’re entitled to it.
And the business will survive without you for a week.

Work will still be there when you get back.

That week with your family, that city you’ve always wanted to see, that morning waking up somewhere completely different?

You don’t get those days back.

So book the leave.

Take the trip.

Turn the emails off.

And absolutely do NOT feel guilty about it. ❤️
