Isle of Wight holiday cottage accommodation ideally sleeps two (1 bedroom), situated in the beautiful quiet west wight rural countryside of Brighstone village (South West IW), furnished to a high standard with Free WiFi (own router in building - 50+mb), cleaned by us as our only holiday property of 12 years, detached with own shaded drive and garden, a great place to stay, ideal holiday stay for t

All the advantages of being within easy walking distance of the village centre and public house, with restaurant, also another separate restaurant with bar in village centre, a newspaper shop that sells food etc, a village food store with locally baked bread, freezer and local produce includes off licence and Post Office with debit card cashing facility, surgery and hair dressers, also No 12 bus service from bottom of road. The holiday cottage is situated at the bottom of downs in a quiet area. Brighstone also has beaches with more well known beaches close by (Compton and Brook). Beaches and downs mainly owned by the National Trust with free access around Brighstone. Voted best village on Isle of Wight for the ninth time and the island is one of the sunniest place in UK. Half of the island is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which the whole area around Brighstone is included, also the coast is classified as Heritage Coast. The island has the highest density of footpaths in the UK, many local footpaths have fine views and the round island cycle route is at the bottom of the road.

Grew from seed some Echium pininana which take two years before they flower, they like the warmer climate you get on the Isle of Wight and look quite spectacular but next time will give them some support if they grow very tall as one fell over twice and another is leaning after it got windy when it was wet through.

Found really great restaurant called Tramezzini in Ventnor, mediterranean themed dishes, been there 3 times so far and each time had quite unique dishes and not had a single dish which hasn't been perfect, which is something you can't say very often and have been at lunch times and evening with relatives who felt the same. ww.tramezzini.co.uk
