Since we're wrapping up 2020, we thought it might be a good time for us reflect on all that's happened this year.

So this is us, announcing the launch of our (long-awaited) 10.2 issue "Reflections"!

"Reflections" features one article from each previous issue of Excursions - preceded by contemplations and musings on each paper, written by a member of the respective Editorial Board and/or the original author. This issue is almost like our diary, a slice of our history and a collection of memories that we wish to share with you. We hope it serves as a snapshot of our work over the last decade, showcasing the very best research and unique insights that Excursions has to offer.

Following our chaotic issue earlier this month, we now invite you to wrap up warm, have a cuppa tea and join us in our moment of "Reflections". ☕ ❄️

We are very pleased to announce that our 10.1 issue "Chaos" is now published and live online!

When Excursions chose ‘Chaos’ as our theme for 2020, we had no idea how prophetic this choice would turn out to be. The chaos surrounding us has morphed from a complete stranger into a strangely familiar presence. Embracing chaos was no longer a choice, it was a necessity.

What started out as a theme to embrace the little chaos in everyday life - the disruptive routines, the organised messes, the spontaneity, excitability and volatility - transformed into a collection of eight articles and eight essays that reflects a celebration of strength, hope, creativity and solidarity. And we thank you for being a part of this tumultuous, yet exciting adventure!

In the midst of this chaotic world and your own personal chaos, we hope you enjoy this issue. If 2020 thought us anything, it was to adapt and embrace chaos. So we invite you, yet again, to embrace chaos with us.
