Safari began in Kenya.

Not the modern safari, but the original idea of venturing into wild places in search of something extraordinary.

These are four of our favourite places to experience it…

Images 2-3: House in the Wild

Positioned on a private stretch of the Mara River, it offers a front-row seat to the Great Wildebeest Migration away from the crowds. Beautiful gardens, charming cottages and exceptional guiding create an atmosphere more reminiscent of a private estate than a safari camp.

Images 4-5: Suyian Lodge

At Suyian, the wilderness isn’t something you drive through. It’s something you move through. Ride horseback across the conservancy, track wildlife on foot, mountain bike through remote valleys or spend an afternoon watching elephants drift past from your private plunge pool.

Images 6-7: Borana Lodge

Rhino are one of Africa’s great conservation success stories, and few places showcase that story better than Borana. Today, black and white rhinos roam across a vast protected landscape surrounding the lodge, perched perfectly on the overlooking hillside.

Images 8-9: Segera

Segera has quietly redefined what a safari lodge can be. Set across 50,000 acres of private wilderness, it blends exceptional wildlife viewing with contemporary African art, ambitious rewilding projects and some of the most sophisticated accommodation in East Africa.

Want to go deeper?

Space for Giants offers rare access to conservation in action.

Working across East Africa to protect elephant populations and secure vital wildlife corridors, the organisation sits at the forefront of modern conservation. Have the opportunity to witness elephant collaring operations, meet field teams and learn how tracking technology is helping shape the future of wildlife protection.

From Space to Svalbard – ice has an almost otherworldly quality…

On our special 2027 Astronaut Expedition to Svalbard, you can see the vastness of space mirrored in our icy Arctic expanse.

In space, ‘amorphous’ ice can be found on interstellar clouds, icy moons and even comets. Unlike our ice, amorphous ice is disorganised, structured in a way that closer resembles water.

Strangely, recent research suggests there may be some ‘memory’ to amorphous ice, and its ‘disorganised’ structure may not be so discordant after all…

On Earth, though our ice may be different, it preserves memories too, in its own way. Through freezing and preserving snapshots of time that might otherwise be lost, ice creates a catalogue of Earth’s history for generations to come.

From carved blue ice monuments to the pack ice slowly shifting on the water’s surface, ice in Svalbard has a remarkably timeless and extra-terrestrial feeling.

You may not leave our atmosphere but a visit to Svalbard is truly an expedition into another world… And with the experienced eyes of an astronaut, you can truly learn to appreciate the quiet unknown.

Adventure with an Astronaut to the Arctic is a single departure to Svalbard for just 12 guests, led by astronaut Nicole Stott ( ) and astronaut wrangler Christina Korp ( ).

Together, both specialist leaders bring something rare. Not just insight, but interpretation. A way of seeing, that shifts how you experience the world around you and where two works meet, space and the frozen Arctic north.

On the Trail of Lemurs & Lost Worlds: The Final Small Group Departure for 2027

Imagine the sights & sounds of a rainforest before sunrise as the calls of indri echo through the canopy, a Verreaux’s sifakas cross sandstone canyons with their strange sideways dance, and chameleons no larger than your thumb disappear completely into the forest around it.

No other place on Earth evolved quite like Madagascar. Separated from mainland Africa for millions of years, the island became a world of its own, shaped by endemic wildlife found nowhere else on the planet.

In Andasibe, indri move through the mist-covered rainforest canopy, their haunting calls carrying enormous distances through the forest at dawn. Ranomafana offers the chance to search for the critically endangered golden bamboo lemur, one of the rarest primates on Earth. Further south, ring-tailed lemurs sun themselves across warm granite and sandstone formations near Anja Reserve and Isalo National Park.

For travellers drawn to rare wildlife, endemic species and journeys that still feel genuinely exploratory, there are very few places left like Madagascar, and extremely limited spaces on our final 2027 small group departure.

Instinct In Motion: The Great Migration and it's Rare Availability

The Great Migration is often imagined as a single dramatic moment, vast herds surging through crocodile-infested rivers beneath storm-darkened skies. In reality, it is a year-long journey spanning thousands of kilometres, guided by instinct, rainfall, and the constant need to survive.

Angama Mara Lodge Kenya: A Unique Place to Stay

Perched high above the Mara Triangle, Angama; Swahili for "suspended mid-air", lives up to its name with glass-fronted tented suites that seem to float above the plains. From this breathtaking vantage point, gusts enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views and a front-row seat to the drama of the Mara.

Mara Plains Camp Kenya: Wild & Immersive

Designed to immerse guests in the beauty of the wilderness, every stay fosters a deep connection with nature. Iceland Adventure Holidays 2026

Planning an Iceland safari requires an understanding of seasonality, access and the country’s ever-changing conditions. Shaped by glaciers, volcanoes and the North Atlantic, Iceland offers a remarkable range of experiences throughout the year, from winter ice caves and Northern Lights to summer wildlife encounters and remote highland exploration. Knowing when to travel, where to go and how conditions affect access is essential to creating a rewarding and well-balanced journey through this dramatic landscape.

•Highlands, Volcanoes & Hidden Landscapes
This extraordinary luxury Iceland journey explores the country’s most remote landscapes, from the volcanic Highlands and geothermal valleys to glacier-fed rivers and dramatic fjord coastlines. Travelling during the short summer window when Iceland’s interior becomes accessible, this private expedition reveals a side of the island few travellers ever experience…

•Wild Westfjords
Iceland’s Westfjords are one of the country’s most remote and least-visited regions, defined by vast fjords, towering sea cliffs and a powerful sense of isolation. Travelling through this untamed corner of the island offers a rare opportunity to explore landscapes where nature still dictates the pace, and wildlife encounters feel authentic.

Madagascar, Properly Explored
Biodiversity, Small Group Travel,
and the Red Island in 2027.

Madagascar is rarely straightforward. Landscapes shift from mist-covered rainforest to granite massifs to vast sandstone canyons in a single journey. Wildlife appears in flashes of movement, sound, and colour. It is a place that rewards patience, context, and the right scale of travel.

In September 2027, we return with a small group of just 6–8 guests, travelling across the island’s most wildlife-rich regions.

This is not a highlights tour. It is a structured exploration designed for depth.

Madagascar Small Group Safari
Rainforest, Lemurs and Canyon Country
04-17 September 2027

‘In Andasibe, listen for the haunting call of the indri at first light’

‘In Ranomafana, search for greater bamboo lemur & the critically endangered golden bamboo lemur in dense montane rainforest’

‘In Isalo National Park, explore sweeping sandstone canyons & Natural Pools where Verreaux’s sifaka move across sunlit rock’

Over 90% of Madagascar’s
wildlife exists nowhere else on
Earth. With a maximum of eight
guests, sightings remain unhurried.
Guiding becomes conversational.

How Women are redefining the Arctic

Leadership, Resilience, & Wildlife in Svalbard.

The Arctic Is Rarely Static

The Arctic is rarely static. Ice shifts. Weather turns. Wildlife moves without ceremony.
It is a place that rewards awareness and the right kind of leadership.
— — — — —
In 2026, we return to Svalbard with two exceptional specialist leaders, each shaping the experience in a very different way.
Both departures are small. Both are fully hosted.
Both offer the rare opportunity to travel in close company with leaders operating at the very top of their fields.
— — — — —
Lizzie Daly — Wildlife, Story & Scientific Insight
3–11 May 2026
Lizzie Daly brings the Arctic to life through a rare blend of scientific insight and storytelling, turning every wildlife encounter into a deeper narrative of context, adaptation, and survival.
— — — — —
In early May in Svalbard, when the light returns, the ice still lingers, and wildlife is highly visible- her small-group approach creates an atmosphere that is curious, thoughtful, and shared, shaped by open dialogue and meaningful conversation throughout the journey.
— — — — —
Megan Hine — A Women’s Resilience Journey
18–28 June 2026
Megan’s women-only expedition blends Arctic exploration with guided practices such as breathwork and cold exposure, creating an immersive journey beneath the midnight sun.
— — — — —
Designed to build clarity, confidence, and capability, this experience is hosted for a small group of just 12 women, allowing space for reflection, connection, and personal challenge in one of the world’s most powerful environments.
