Dear friends,

Due to the current situation in the Middle East we have taken the decision to pause our business for the time being. At least until we are able to operate fully again.

Our grateful thanks go to you all for your ongoing support and prayers during Covid and the current situation. This has been a real source of strength and encouragement to us. We pray that in time there will healing and a coming together of the nations in the Middle East.

We have appreciated working with our group leaders and meeting so many wonderful people over the past 58 years. This has been an immense pleasure and memorable experience for each of us who have worked here. We have enjoyed many conversations whether over the phone, in the office, at the many exhibitions, or at the airport where we have seen off thousands of pilgrims over the years.

We thank you for your understanding and trust you will have another opportunity to travel with us on a journey of a lifetime.

'Mary Jones - Wales’s most famous Sunday School story’ tells all about how in 1800 a poor, 16 year old girl, after saving for several years, walked 26 miles barefoot over the mountains of Snowdonia to Bala to buy her own Bible. It led indirectly to the founding of the Bible Society.

The talk lasts about 40 minutes and has a nice twist and update at the end.

Professor Julian Evans OBE is a forest scientist who became a Christian in his early 20s. He has written or been principal editor of 16 books, mainly on forestry, and was chair of the Forestry Commission’s Expert Committee on Forest Science 2013-19. He was appointed Forestry Commissioner in 2020. For many years he was in the leadership team of his church in Alton and was a non-executive director of Tearfund for 16 years. He is married with three grown up sons and three granddaughters.
