Fancy getting involved with arts stuff locally (it'll look good on your nationality application!)? ACAV is a bi-lingual (French/English) association, which runs the Les Inédits international arts festival in Amélie-les-Bains-Palalda in September. Just €15 annual membership supports us (and shows the funders that we have a broad base of support). Members can get involved in festival planning or organisation, and are invited to the Festival launch and exhibition previews. We're working on other benefits too. Théâtre en Rapport is looking for mid-scale UK dates for an accessible, fun French hip-hop dance piece ‘Ballet Bar’ from 26/10 to 04/11. We saw it during its sell-out Avignon Off Festival run and loved it – set in a bar with a 1950’s New York jazz vibe, but still unmistakably French, and featuring a mix of 20th Century dance styles.
