🎣🚤 Epic Fishing Day on the Skerries! 🚤🎣

We’ve been back on the water for a few trips already, and today was something special. Out on the skerries, we landed a few spur dogs, our best catch weighing in at 19lb .4oz, and some small-eyed rays. It was a really nice day on the water, and we’re thrilled to keep the adventures rolling.

Yesterday’s Recap:

Tough day on the water! We spotted some Tuna, but they weren’t interested in the poppers. The weather was back to typical November—windy and overcast. Spent the first hour chasing bigger solo Tuna, then moved back to yesterday’s spot where we found smaller busting Tuna, but they were incredibly fussy. Managed to hook one but lost it before we could bring it in.

Unfortunately, the weather picked up in the afternoon, so we had to head in early. Still, a good day out overall—just goes to show how challenging (and expensive!) the game can be.

On that note, if anyone happens to spot a rod and reel floating in the middle of the channel, we know who it belongs to! 😂

Just when you think you can’t have anything else go wrong, if it isn’t the weather it’s been other little problems, then this happens! You then find out they are like rocking horse _ _ _ . Hopefully all will be sorted next week then I will be looking to get some tuna trips in before the end of the season if the weather is kind.
