A moment our guests will never forget 🦦💙

One of the magical things about staying at Littlemill is that nature is quite literally on your doorstep… and last week our guests were lucky enough to witness this beautiful mother otter and her wee baby exploring the shoreline directly in front of the cottage.

No wildlife hide. No boat trip. Just the view from the garden 🌊

This is why Littlemill is so special - peaceful mornings, sea air, spectacular scenery, and sometimes even unforgettable wildlife encounters right outside your window.

🌿 Something exciting is coming to the village! ☕️✨

We’re so pleased to share that a brand new Kildonan community cafe & shop is opening right here in our lovely village – and we couldn’t be more excited!

For our guests, it couldn’t be more convenient… it’s just a two-minute walk from Littlemill Cottage 🚶‍♀️💛

Imagine stepping out in the morning for fresh coffee, picking up some delicious treats, or simply soaking up that cosy village atmosphere – all right on your doorstep.

It’s always wonderful to see new businesses bringing life and energy into our community, and this is such a fantastic addition for both visitors and locals alike 🙌

We’re so excited to finally share what we’ve been working on at Kildonan Community Cafe & Shop. From fresh toasties and homemade soup to sweet traybakes and great coffee, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite, catching up with friends, or just taking in the views, we’ve created a menu that’s simple, tasty, and made with care.

Beachfront cottage on the Isle of Arran

Great news for all our guests. From next month our village will have a new community shop & cafe. A perfect spot for a coffee or to pick up some essentials - and it’s less thank 5 minutes walk!

After many years without a shop, Kildonan Village on Isle of Arran is buzzing with excitement at last!
On 27th March, the doors will finally open to the brand-new Kildonan Community Shop & Café — a vibrant, welcoming space at the heart of the village, arriving just in time for Easter celebrations.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that the café and shop will be run by David Moffat and Harry Talbot, two highly experienced professionals in catering and hospitality. With their passion, expertise, and warm welcome, the future of this much-loved community hub is in fantastic hands.

This is more than just a shop and café — it’s a milestone moment for the village. A place to gather, connect, and thrive together once again.

Thank you all for your continued support in bringing this exciting community asset to life. It belongs to the village, and it’s here to stay.

Windows are in!!! Huge congrats to Max for getting the windows fitted and the house wind and water tight!👏👏👏
We sat up there last night admiring the view and feeling very lucky. This will be the view from the master suite - pretty spectacular!
